    • Holy. Wow.

I don't get why Detroit would do this.

I can see their thinking somewhat. The first round pick they gave up is lottery protected, Bradley is an unrestricted free agent next year and Harris the year after that so they got Blake who is locked up as a piece they can build with. I agree he definitely isn’t a cornerstone but looking ahead he’s probably the best they can realistically do in the next couple of years or so.

        • Stan is trying to save his job. The smart play would have probably been to blow it up, but when you're Coach and GM you can't afford to tank. This team may be a playoff team if healthy, but they're not exactly special.

          • Yeah I've been thinking about it some more, and it makes sense. Drummond doesn't score much so you pair him with Blake who is stronger down low than Tobias.

But Bradley was a huge loss for a team with a good chance to make the playoffs. I guess they do still have Bullock and Tolliver defensively plus Langston Galloway. Should be interesting to see who steps up in his absence. Blake and Drummond will be one hell of a frontcourt though. Plus Brice and Willie Reed off the bench.

Doc didn't seem to like Brice Johnson at all. Even when half the Clippers roster was injured he still didn't get any time, which is strange because they did a great job with their G league guys this season.

He does that with almost every rookie prior to this year. Diamond Stone was one of the most promising offensive big men they've had in franchise history and they treated him like he was a scrub.

In their defense, Brice was injured for a good amount of last year.

                • So far, Bullock and Dre are really showing they can step up offensively without Tobias and Avery Bradley. I'm glad to see them both finally playing like this because I always knew they could.

                  • Bullock finishes with 22, Dre with 20 and 22. Stanley Johnson also finished with 26 or 28 but he was a top ten pick and he didn't really impress me with anything other than his ability to score in transition.

The Cavs definitely laid an egg but the Pistons still showed they have a decent foundation. This team could improve a good amount once Reggie is back. Him using his penetration then throwing lobs to Blake is gonna be crazy.
