Kleiza is really a natural SF in the league. He's built like a PF, but he has the quickness and shooting ability of a wing, and he really has a more perimeter game anyway.
Herrmann on the other hand is really more of a PF in the league, and that's where he's excelled with Charlotte. Early in the year and preseason they had him more as a SF, and he was struggling alot. But with the recent injury to Sean may, alon with Morrison continue to really do nothing well at all, Hermann's getting alot more minutes, especially at PF, and he's really thriving. Part of it is his 3-point shooting, which has dramatically improved from the beginning of the season. He's also really taking advantage of opposing PFs off the dribble.
Nochbar is really athletic, and he's a good shot, he's probably the best of the bunch.
I'm not too impressed with Pavlovic....he's decent at creating his own shot, but he forces the issue to much. Least athletic of the bunch. And his shot isn't very consistent.
Delfino is smooth and athletic, but he's small. He'll never get a chance to shine in more than a backup role with Detroit, but it's unclear wether he's ready for anything more than that anways.

They are all good young talent, but I like Pavlovic. He is very explosive, and can shoot aswell. He can score, and make people around him better, and allowing them to get open.

Since everybody writes about Nachbar or Pavlovic, how come Delfino has more votes than the others?
I'm the first 2 admit I voted 4 Delfino though because playing 4 the Pistons is imo more difficult than playing the Nets or the Cavs.Detroit has the same team 4 the last years, it's not easy 2 put yourself in the rotation and gain pt, plus the team is very successful.
He is also Argentinian which raises him more as a player in my eyes(biased comment)

Boki the best???
Originally posted by stuartHmmm.. didn't realize that Nachbar was so old. Thought Hermann had a few years on him. My mistake. And I wouldn't place Kleiza in the same category as these three. To me, Kleiza has a power forwards body whereas these three aren't nearly as built -- place him on any other team and he's playing small forward or power forward. Nachbar, Delfino and Pavlovic are shooting guards, small forwards... nothing outside of that save for a few quirks during the season.

So we have....
1) Bostjan Nachbar
2) Aleksandar Pavlovic
3) Carlos Delfino
honorary votes...
Walter Herrman
Linas Klezias

Originally posted by stuartI look at Boki, Sasha, and Delfino are similar players in build, age, skills and experience. I left Herrmann out because of his age... As well as Kleiza, whom I see as a power forward with a different build and US college experience.

Nachbar got lucky that Jefferson got injured, if that would happen in Pavlović's or Delfino's case maybee they'd be the most impressive ones... and that's just about it. imo NBA doesn't really favours a player over his skill set to the same extent as in europe, but being in the right team on the right time helps the most... and Nachbar got lucky with it.
I hope they'll all get good minutes in the future and of course, that they'll return to europe
Walter Hermann is missing in the pool... being the most physical it is imho pretty obvious he makes the best choice for the NBA out of this group, yet eventhough i'm used to it, it's kind of paradoxal how much time a NBA team like Bobcats needs to find that out... at least they are beggining to slowely getting there, which is still not the case with Delfino that still isn't getting the oppurtunity he deserves...
I think Bobcats let a ROY award slip through their hands with Hermann this season, considering the weak draft...
I must say that Pavlovic, Nachbar and also Delfino gets their chance this season. Pavlovic and Nachbar use this chance well. Delfino for me not. The only thing he is doing very good every night was rebounding for a guard and the assists numbers were also OK. But he had a terrible shoot precentage so far in most of the games.
Hermann plays real good and i am realy happy about him and his playing. He deservs this after all the hard time he went through. The first time i saw him play was on the WC02 and I immediatley liked him. On the olympics he was realy hot and become one of my favourite players. He didn´t play a lot because of Adam Morrison i think at the begining. Morrison had terrible FG% throught the season. But Hermann uses every minute in the game which he got very good and then when he had the chance to play more he use it and is on a very good way now.

I think Nachbar is the best in this season.
But Pavlović is a much better shooter than him and he will show his skills next season if he doesn't get injured like most of the serbian players.

Pavlovic is the best of the 3 this season. He showed some very good games this year and is even a starter.
2) Sasa Pavlovic- He is starting to play better as well but doesn't have the upside of Boki. He also benifits from all of the attention given to King James.

Nachbar is finally showing his Benetton's game... people that saw him there knew he could play, they were just waiting for him to confirm it...
All he needed was minutes and a normal coach that wouldn't transform him into something he is not like Van Ganji wanted to...
I'm glad Pavlović is getting some playing time as well...
