  • Europe goes to NBA?

I've heard a rumor - Europe to NBA? Real Madrid with some other European teams wants to go to NBA. They could be in the Eastern Conference. Madrid plans to build a mega arena with over 20.000 sits. I don't remember any more.

    Is it possible?

I don't see it happening. ULEB will not allow it, and the long distance between USA and Europe is too much for a team to play at least 82 games in seven months.

of course, bored european journalists without any knowledge on euro basketball take up such story quickly, considering they have a timeline and no article yet...
        and that's about it

Not likely, I always find it weird when those news come up. I don't get, isn't it logistically impossible to have European teams playing in the NBA? Can someone imagine say Real Madrid flying every week to play the games in the US and play ACB and an European competition at the same time? The players would die of stress

                There are many stumbling blocks.
The long-distance travelling would be a major obstacle.
If they were to be based in the US, where are they going to get their fan base?

if Real Madridwill be an NBA team in the near future, they plan to play in the NBA and in the ACB(what is ACB?) league at the same time. it will be bring so much fatigue to the players because of travel and playing basketball.
