White Folks Prevailing

This is not a racist post to begin with. I'm an egalitarian guy and definitely not white supremacist

But! Diversity is nice and I would like to see more white folks in the game which would, IMO, make it only more fun. Just as Bird, Stockton and other white greats made it.

So do we see a new trend or what? MVP candidates (or actual MVPs) today are white guys as Jokic, Doncic, Sabonis. Markkanen is an all star. Reaves, Herro, Vucevic, Giddey, Franz Wagner, Sengun, Jovic are pretty good too and some of them will be huge in upcoming decade.

Another thing, the reason why I truly posted it, we see a new wave of dominant white folks coming - Chet Holmgren (second pick), Gradey Dick (13-2023), Matas Buzelis (No.1 candidate 2024), Cooper Flagg (No1. candidate 2025).

Are white guys catching up? Or it's just too small trend yet? Interesting development at the very least.

As an ethnic Serb who is not from the US, I just don't relate at all to the term 'white folks/people.' And I don't like it. I see 'white people' & all the history & baggage of that as something that is far more aligned with the Anglo-Germanic sphere. I relate to Eastern & Mediterranean Europe as something different. Especially in terms of basketball. I don't like it when Americans look at European basketballers as white. I think Montrezl Harrell got away with ridiculous racism calling Doncic a 'bitch ass white boy.' Jokic got a bigger fine then Montrezl for saying that no homo joke which was clearly a joke that he probably picked up from team mates. Then you got Kendrick Perkins influencing the mvp voting based on race & literally getting proved the opposite with a black guy being the ony one leaving Jokic off the mvp vote. So what I've seen in the NBA in recent times is a 'white boy' getting bigger fines for lesser things then a black player actually being a racist. A black commentator in Perkins being racist & influencing the mvp vote. A black voter not voting for a white candidate probably racist. Jokic missing out on league mvp because of race. There are some serious consequences going on here with a segment of people in the NBA who are putting white people into a category. To be fair with Jokic critics though, I see a lot of white Americans feeling comfortable trashing him as well. And a lot of black commentators are Jokic's biggest supporters. For example on the Skip & Shannon show. Skip Bayless is just a horrible commentator who didnt let up bagging Jokic. So glad Shannon doesn't have have to stoop to that guys level anymore.
