Yes, in your basketball world, a basketball team can have six or seven players on the court.

EDIT: Besides... The Lakers can't "form walls" with the roster they have, it's a roster designed to play "man to man" with a player "helping" next to his other duty the most dangerous "big" of the opponent at the lower post.

I am sure he would. But besides this I think Denver is no good fit for his strenghts and vice versa. Maybe one of the few teams in the NBA that couldn't benefit from Giannis as much as they could

I think there is no team in the NBA that Giannis wouldn't fit... My suggestion was for Giannis replacing Jokic which wouldn't demand a change on the game style of Denver since both Jokic and Giannis are handling the ball a lot when the team is on the offense and also pass a lot of assists.

What would of course make an unbeatable team, is the purely hypothetical condition where the Nuggets could add Giannis and keep Jockic and Murray too... They would then bench Grant and would have to change their game style, but that team would average 140pts per game in an NBA season (including the playoffs).

        • This hate on Giannis is funny.

The men is only 25 and has 2 mvps already. If you need to built 2-3 men walls to stop him its just say how much teams need to slow him down.Normally to slow down a guy you dont need to built walls...You building walls when there is nothing else to do .

Sure he is not perfect player and isnt winning titles at 25,but how manny of nba all time greats wasnt getting beat at 24-25 old in playoofs against smarter mature players? Jordan,Lebron got their ass knocked out of playoofs too at that age.

Giannis was beaten by 2019 nba champions raptors, 2020 he was beaten by Heat who have seriuos chance atleast making finals. And people are talking here as he is beaten by some scrubs and ale its easy to beat Giannis

Give Giannis other star player and we will see.If Lebron or Jordan couldnt win ring untill they got second real star player, neither will Giannis do that. Its normal learning process in playoofs by superstar at early age of his career.

There is 3 players that won MVP and Defensive player award in same season: Hakeem,Jordan,Giannis thats it in 70+ seasons. That kid is special at some point even those walls would not hold of him.

Shaq,LeBron,Giannis is that 3 most scariest athletes in basketball in last 20 years hands down. And when they reach mature level there is simply no answers for such force of nature.

Luka and Gianni's has the weakest second star partners from all superstars .Middleton and Porzingis can play 3rd bananas role ale Bosh or Love, but not as second star of champion winning teams in normal NBA playoffs

          • Why should someone hate him? Nobody actually denied that he penetrates like no one else but the last 3 playoffs and the world cup showed that he has to add a new skill either his a shot or a reliable post game. Even a better ft percentage would help him a lot. Since the season is over hell be 26 at the end of the year. I think hell still have 5 years to play on the highest level before his athleticism starts declining and he is someone who relies on it very much.

If he has a weak second guy its his fault as well. He is the reason why Middleton got max and also the min contract of his brother limits the cap space.

            • Hate for Giannis is not even worth reading.

              Celtics - Heat 121- 108

              Dragic 36min, 23/4/4, FG 8/17, 3P 1/7, 4TO, +1
              Theis 35min, 15/13/1, FG 6/10, 3P 0/2, 1TO, +16
              Kanter 10min, 8/4/2, FG 4/7, 0TO, +3

Open series again. Wouldn't be surprised if Celtics manage to turn this over completely as every game is heavily contested. Theis with his 204cm shows again how valuable he is to this Celtics system.

"Giannis can do shit against a wall" You simply is (not are for you) an idiot!

The man scored 18pts in 11 mins against "a wall" although injured... and would have scored 60+ if he wasn't injured again in the game!

It basically is a "chess" game between two of the better coaches in the league... Whoever out of Spo and Stevens predicts the other's next move and has the answers will win the series...

I think, it will be Spoelstra at the end and also think that whoever comes out of the East, will win it all...

                  • Congratulations to coach Spoelstra for this fantastic achievement.

What a great, sympathic, fantastic team Miami has organized by the one and only Goran Dragic.

                    • usually who has more star power wins nba finals.Lakers are surely favorites James+Davis is Kobe+Shaq all over again.

But there were some fantastic teams chemistries that won finals that didnt have current top 10 nba player in their team.

Pistons 2004 Spurs 2014 is very few examples that you can win title dont having a superstar player, but in most cases nba champion teams have superstar.

Brain says Lakers will win, heart will support best t-e-a-m that played together and complimented each other better than any other team this season.

Nobody saw them coming... They basically planned it all away from the front stage lights and made some crucial additions by February's trade deadline in order to maximize matching against the Bucks and the Lakers... I believe they'll win all, the Lakers game is too predictable for Spo to defend upon.

                        • I have the feeling that this could be a one way road now that Bam is injured on his shoulder and Dragic questionable for the rest of the series. After leading 28-18 total breakdown of Heat.

                          • well, everyone, including the Heat players, knew that they are massive overwhelming underdogs against the Los Angeles juggernaut...Jimmy "Buckets" Butler boasting and propping his team in the media was just a smokescreen to cover the massive talent gap between the two finals teams. And as long as Lebron remains the best and most impactful player in the world, which he still is after 17 gruelling NBA seasons, Heat can only pray for a miracle to save them, and I'm afraid Christmas time is still too far ahead of us...

                            • Seems like the finals are over. Knowing Corona thing and how Heat loses 2 leaders in first game, it's must be the cheapest title ever in the NBA if title at all.
LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

                              Jokubaitis, Marciulionis, Laurencikas
                              Indrusaitis, Brazdeikis, Rubstavicius
                              Buzelis, Lelevicius
                              Murauskas, Sirvydis
                              Tubelis, Krivas

yeah... with Dragic and Adebayo out, certainly there is a "massive talent gap"... thanks for reminding us...
