Michael Jordan has been considered the greatest basketball player of all time even before he retired. Some exceptions apply, but this has been a consensus choice for the better part of 2 plus decades. For James to be ranked above him is a watershed moment

best players of all time
Jordan, James, Kareem, Russell, Wilt, Shaq, Bird, Magic, Duncan, Hakeem, Curry, Oscar, West, Dr.J, Bryant...Durant and Garnett as the top historical tier
Durant and Garnett was last 2 to be cut from all time top 15 in recent nba best players voting. But they was/is perfect players as you can find for todays smal ball era.
All 17 these players simply are nba legends or will become after they will finish his career. Those 17 unique players dominated their eras. Some even changed how basketball was played for later generations.
Honorable mentions : M.Malone,D.Robinson,D.Nowitzky
best to never win a ring : K.Malone,C.Barkley,E.Baylor .Its unrelistic to make top 20 all time if you never won chip in any seriuosly made list.Last edited by Shawshank; 05-15-2020, 12:32 AM.

Giannis will most likely repeat as NBA MVP. But the true greats solidify those awards with championships. Otherwise he will be Steve Nash and Karl Malone. Multiple time MVP award winners but without the prize.

Giannis Antetokounmpo is the best player in the world right now and is about to become the greatest player the sport has ever known within a couple of years or so...

I think it's fair to at least throw a comparison to some degree. Both guard forwards, both at 20 making silly things. I think they are compared exactly in the fashion of being 20yo, not in the perspective of the upside in the first place. Seems like Mavs will make it to PO, so we'll see.

At 21 LeBron finished second in the NBA mvp voting as did Kevin Durant.
At 22 LeBron dragged his team to the NBA finals. When Luka accomplishes stuff like that let’s talk.
There was a 20 year old named Earvin Johnson that wasn’t too shabby either.

I kinda silently wish to switch Slovenia for Croatia (which is stacked with NBA guys, but much more limited, predictable and chucking prone) in Olympic qualification, this guy has the skillset and IQ to drop 40pts even on the FIBA court and to single-handedly lead Slovenia.

Originally posted by ronweasleyAs we know, Terry Rozier signed a 3 year, 58 million dollar contract with the Hornets as a part of the sign-and-trade deal involving Kemba Walker. I’ve heard many people call this contract the worst of 2019 Free Agency period, a take which I believe is ridiculous for many reasons. In some ways I actually heavily like this move by Charlotte. I’ve outlined my reasons
Charlotte was about to lose Walker for nothing. They had a gaping hole at the starting PG position and there weren’t many viable options out there, especially considering their lack of an attractive market.fedloan irs.gov easybib
Rozier is only 25 years old and matches up well in age with the rest of the Hornets’ young core.
While Rozier has had a turbulent time in the league numbers wise, his 2018 postseason numbers (16.2, 5.6, 5.2) were no fluke. He’s shown the potential to lead and put up nice numbers when he’s given full control of a team, and Charlotte will give him just that.
This contract is only three years, and the Hornets aren’t competing for anything anytime soon. Not to mention much of they have money to spend with much of their albatross contracts coming off the books the next two summers.
Rozier would be heavily compelled to re-sign with Charlotte should he transform into a starting-caliber guard (a huge conditional, but still a very valid point). Remember that much of his trouble in Boston was due to the fact that they never prioritized him. Loyalty clearly matters to him.
All in all, this is a very low risk, high reward move to me. If Rozier doesn’t perform, you can cut your losses and move on. If he does, you have a franchise point guard on a rather nice salary considering the max deals that have gone out. This could very well end up being a steal for the Hornets once all is said and done. I just don’t see why many were calling this the worst signing of FA when I personally believe Harris and Middleton signed worse contracts given their respective roles on their teams.
The Hornets have a bright future ahead of them... They may have their ups and downs this season due to their talents youth, but one should expect them to be a real threat for the following seasons...
