Team USA member CJ Smith has signed a camp deal with the Clippers. I love seeing lesser known players rewarded for strong international play by an NBA team.

Larry Drew II gets yet another undeserved chance at the NBA level, this time with Miami.
James Young signs a camp deal with the Bucks. They could really use his shooting. Most interesting thing about this signing though is that with both Young and Jok signing elsewhere, the only fringe guy the Pels have who has NBA experience is Darius Miller.

Indiana signs former Miami Hurricane teammates DeQuan Jones and Trey McKinney-Jones to contracts. DeQuan is an interesting player. Sort of like Jordan Bell before Jordan Bell. McKinney-Jones on the other hand was a ball-dominant combo guard whose play majorly limited those Miami teams.
Cleveland signs Puerto Rican NT standout and former Boston U Terrier John Holland to a two-way contract. Great player to have in case of injury.
Also, Portland signs Archie Goodwin to a camp deal. Let's see if he actually grows up and takes advantage of this shot.

Some very interesting news out of New Orleans, as they're finalizing an I believe one year deal with Tony Allen and more interestingly have signed oft-injured former phenom Perry Jones III to a camp deal.
Brooklyn is finalizing a two year deal with Tyler Zeller.
Memphis has signed former summer league and D-League standout Vince Hunter to a deal.
Spurs sign former Villanova star Darrun Hilliard to a two-way deal. This was a great move. Hilliard has a lot to offer and really didn't get to show it much in Detroit.

It's a two month deal so I'm guessing he's trying to raise his NBA stock and get an in-season contract. The kid is immensely talented and dominant down low but he screwed up majorly by not staying in shape. He's majorly undersized in today's NBA and has to prove he can either dominate as an undersized five or convert to being a true four.
Former NBA to Euroleague trailblazer Josh Childress has signed a deal with Denver.

Former Milwaukee Buck and mid-major star Nate Wolters signing with the Jazz on a two-way contract. Always liked him but he just never made the cut.
Bogut expects to sign next week. He's by far the best FA left -along with Shabazz Muhammad- and his signing would fill a huge need for the Celtics, Cavs, or Spurs.

Milos looking in shape and balling in the Clippers off-season program. So much for the "injury" that kept him from playing in Eurobasket.

It's almost like they feel indebted to the national team as if citizenship will be stripped and they will be deported if they don't play. Any reasonable person should understand that no player will ever have 100% participation. Things happen and no explanations required.
