  • 2015/16 Rookie watch

Just wondering how far do you think some of the rookies from this class can go?

Towns has always been an exceptional talent. Jahlil Okafor has been exceptional so far, Porzingis as well and there are some other guys as Winslow, Mudiay that are promising to have a good career ahead of them, Bjelica the recent euroleague MVP had some good games...

Who's you pick for the rookie of the year?

I agree that it's between Towns, Okafor and Porzingis so far. Particularly I would say it's between Towns and Porzingis. Okafor lighting it up, but he also takes plenty of FGA and playing the most minutes for a really crappy team. While Porzingis not only takes at least 5-6 FGA less, but also is playing 7 minutes less than Okafor does for a better team. Towns is also more efficient than Okafar. As for their long term upside I would go with Porzingis because of his crazy perimeter game. That's new trend of BB - guys who can handle the ball, can play big under the boards and shoot from distance.

I have to go with my home team and my man Jah. He has such an amazing feel for the game. It's something you have to see to believe.

Towns vs Okafor tonight. Should be a great matchup.

Very pleased with the big men of this class with Karl Anthony Towns, Kristaps Porzingis and Jahlil Okafor. They have shown the capabilities of a true mobile center with an adept perimeter game.

I'd like to root for Willie Cauley-Stein but his offense is far from what Towns and co have shown. WCS is still inconsistent in holding down the paint but we like his raw athletics.

Perimeter rooks I'm watching are Mudiay, Hezonja, Stanley Johnson and Winslow.

Winslow has a great impact on the Heat. The ball is scarce in the Heat offense with some of the big names around, but Justise can contribute off-ball, minutes are guaranteed accordingly and I keep forgetting that he is still only 19.
Seems like this rookie class did provide with 3 great bigs, that quite a rarity it seems.

I think Okafor is currently the most polished but I think his ceiling is limited as compared to Towns and especially Porzingis.
5 years from now Okafor will be a top big and an all star quality player, but Towns and Porzingis can be first team all nba type players as Towns improves his offensive game. As for Porzingis the sky is the limit considering how amazing his body control and coordination is for such a big guy.
