  • NBA All-Star Weekend 2015

The threads and jerseys unveiled. Minimalist and tradition is quite the trend in the NBA jerseys for this year, starting with the Christmas Day jerseys and now the All-Star jerseys. A tribute to the "city game" of NY. Light and dark tank tops reminds us of the time where Richard Guerin, Harry Gallatin, Dick McGuire, Carl Braun, Willis Reed, Walt Frazier, Earl Monroe, Dave Debusschere and Jerry Lucas to name a few.

Thank God they're not bringing back those stupid t shirts the players were wearing last year.

I love that Adam Silver opened the voting to every single player and put off the voting until later in the season. Thaddeus Young to me not being even a reserve last year was unacceptable. Fan voting was getting out of control.

All Star Voting is now opened. You can visit nba.com and sign in/ sign up in order to vote for your favorite players. Btw, All-star jerseys this year look a little vintage, bring me the feeling like in 1990s time. I did it and now I am however heading to the gym!

The guy that I really want to break into the East AS is Michael Carter-Williams. In the game against Orlando, MCW paced the attack when Sixers were down 11 and during the 4th, MCW paced the Sixers into maintaining their lead by as much as 14.

MCW and Oladipo are worthy of AS selection.

Very intrigued about this USA vs. International affair in the rising stars challenge.

            Imagine:

Andrew Wiggins (Canada), Giannis Antetokounmpo (Greece), Nikola Mirotic (Montenegro), Anthony Bennett (Canada), Alex Len (Ukraine), Kelly Olynyk (Canada), Dennis Schroeder (Germany), Gorgui Dieng (Senegal), Dante Exum (Australia),

Going up against Rookies and Sophs. Hoping to see our very own McLemore for USA while Nik Stauskas could make it for the world team.

This is like NIKE Hoop Summit.

              Antetokounmpo
              Oladipo
              Mason Plumlee
              Zach LaVine

              For the DUNK contest
Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo and Orlando Magic guard Victor Oladipo have committed to take part in in the upcoming NBA Slam Dunk contest, according to a report from Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo Sports.

Where's Wiggins? Also would have loved to see KJ McDaniels of the 76ers participate but it hit me that the man isn't really about fanfare or seeking fame, but all about business where he has really earned his place in the NBA and he is not relaxing one bit.

EDIT: KJ McDaniels airs his side. Man is all about business, but he did not disclose the possibility of a future participation.

It's an interesting idea. Sort of like the US vs World team in the Futures game in AA baseball.

This! it will be more interesting than all star game, IMO. Internationals will go hard after the win I would think. I would hope. Interesting!
LTU NT will snatch Eurobasket 2029 title with this roster:

                    Jokubaitis, Marciulionis, Laurencikas
                    Indrusaitis, Brazdeikis, Rubstavicius
                    Buzelis, Lelevicius
                    Murauskas, Sirvydis
                    Tubelis, Krivas

International team I think can beat convincingly the USA side this year. The players I would like to see selected are Nurkic and Schroeder.

West substitutes are quite better than starters

                          Westbrook
                          Harden
                          Durant
                          Aldridge
                          Cousins

So glad to see the kid from North Philly made it at last! You know there will be a large contingent of Philly people too since it's in NY.

I think it's ridiculous that Blake and Melo are starting though. There are much more deserving players for both sides who are getting snubbed for them.

2015 Rising Stars Challenge USA vs. Internationals

Where is Nurkic? But it is good seeing Shabazz Muhammad out there. He is quietly thriving in Minnesota.
