Haha yeah... I didn't know this also apparently happened last year as well

This is the first time in so many years that I have enjoyed a dunk contest especially with a new gimmick of teaming up dunkers by their conference. John Wall had a nice flush to seal it.

Also, congratulations to Marco Belinelli for winning the shootout. He was on target for the final round.

Shootout was really a close duel between Belinelli and Beal.

Melo's shooting reminded me of Glen Rice back in the 90's. Congratulations to Uncle Drew for taking over the east.

A great weekend of basketball, I enjoyed most of the competitions (3-point contest, dunk contest, All-Star game). Kyrie deserved his MVP in my opinion, although the likes of Durant, Blake Griffin, LeBron and Melo were also very very good.

An enjoyable entertaining weekend overall... The BBVA and slam dunk contest weren't the best for me... This year's dunk contest was very short and there should have been a couple of more rounds... Or at least let Paul George and John Wall go one-on-one vs. each other even if they're from the same conference...

Sunday's All Star Game saw many records going down including:

                1) Most points scored in All Star Game (318 total which shattered the previous record of 303 set in 1987)
                2) Eastern Conference scoring 163 points (Previous record was 155 set by Western conference team in 2003 with 2OT's!)
                3) Melo nailing 8 3's (Previous record was 6 which both Mark Price (1993) and Lebron (2012) had)
                4) Most amount of 3's taken = 100!!! (Previous record was 71 from last year)
                5) Blake Griffin with 19 FG's made (previous record was 17...which was held by Wilt (1962), MJ (1988) and KG (2003) )

Oh and there wasn't a single block for the whole 48 minutes for both teams!!!
