Tyreke goes for 22, 10, and 16 including 3 for 6 from three along with a block and a steal, and Anthony Davis just goes for 41 and 10 along with 3 assists and 2 blocks, no big deal really. I'm telling you, the Pelicans have scary talent when you add in the fact that Eric Gordon seems to have reappeared and replaced the imposter who suited up for New Orleans all of these years and the fact that Jrue is out with injury.

Great game by Davis and Evans. With Gordon returning to his 2011 form and Holiday on the mend, the starting can throw in serious damage to the teams. What I like about the team and its offense is its perpetual motion in terms of screens and using those space to catalyst its main weapon in Anthony Davis, to whom I must say is the best screen and roll or screen and shoot bigman I have ever seen.

To the relief of the Pelicans, Anthony Davis has not sustained any damage on his shoulder, only a sprain. Davis is said to be playing this week, depending on game time call.

Great comeback by the Pelicans against the Raps. Down by 18 in the 4th quarter and Raptors having a defensive breakdown. Ajinca is starting to look like an Anthony Davis when placed by Monty on those screen and roll situation; able to glide and run like a gazette into the baseline.

Luke Babbit's shooting has been impeccable in this game and probably the best game I've seen from him since his days in Portland. Also, Tyreke Evans did well in attacking the void left by the defense as Monty's screens lulled them in.

Second great performance by Norris Cole in a row, while Heat fans keep saying how terrible he was for them. Davis injured doesn't even influence them, they just improved their ball movement. Pelicans surprised me in a positive way the last two games.

Norris Cole was a scorer at Cleveland State. He didn't really get to do that in Miami and didn't really get to show the kind of game he has. Heat "fans" tend to also forget the big shots he had in 2012 and 2013. You can't really take them seriously about anything.

I ussualy don't take most fans from bigger forum communities serious at all, but with 30 teams in NBA, games scheduled late (CET is 6 hours behind ET, so watching a game sometimes means staying up to 4 AM ), I've got to consider what they're saying instead of figuring it all on my own.
There is such a sick competition among guards in NBA that it's not even funny and while people were raging about Linsanity all I could wonder was how many really good guards actualy didn't get the chance he did. Most of people commentating around have no idea what those players they're mocking have been through to get to where they are, that's why Cole and the rest get nothing but respect from me

Anthony Davis last night: 36 Pts, 14 Reb, 7 Ast, 9 Blk in double OT against the Nuggets. He was everywhere. That agility to get back when after being eluded is a tremendous help on the Pelican defense.

Congratulations to the Pelicans for advancing to the playoffs. Rooting for Tyreke Evans and Jimmer Fredette to play well.

Alvin Gentry is the new head coach for the Pelicans. I remember Gentry instilling a defensive approach for the Suns late in 2008.

Good move. He had that unfortunate season in PHX, other than that I thought he was doing a nice job there.

If I am a pelican fan this hire would disappoint me. Anthony Davis is possibly a couple of years away from being the best player in the league, and entrusting these years to a 60 year old retread coach isn't ambitious enough in my view.

Pelicans have locked up Anthony Davis to a max contract and Omer Asik to a five year $60 million contract. Alvin Gentry said that the defensive duo can only get better.
