  • New camera tracking technology and statistics in the NBA

I wanted to share a link to this article with everyone as it highlights in easy to understand terms the revolution that is occurring in the NBA in regards to tracking player's movements, their on court decisions and how to improve them. The focus on advanced stats has led organizations down a road to invest more time and $ into resources like the ones detailed in this article. Very interesting stuff.

These are some of the things I've been referring to in other posts when I wrote about the fact that NBA defenses are actually much more complex and detailed than the average basketball fan believes. True, there are some teams that seem to give little to no emphasis to defensive effort, much less advanced statistical modeling focused on defense. But there are fewer and fewer of those teams in the NBA each year.

As a side note to our Lithuanian friends- it focuses on the Raptors and has a couple of interesting things to say about Jonas and his development. Just trying to get more people to read it

Tracking technology has revolutionized industries by enhancing the precision and efficiency of various systems. From GPS navigation to advanced sensor networks, it plays a crucial role in monitoring and managing assets, environments, and people. One prominent application of tracking technology is in the entertainment sector, where it helps provide real-time data for production and distribution. Additionally, tracking technology is instrumental in enhancing accessibility with innovations like AI-driven subtitles. Al Subtitles powered by machine learning, make content more inclusive for global audiences by automatically translating and displaying subtitles in real-time. This fusion of AI and tracking technology ensures better user experiences worldwide.
