                            • International flavor

There were 15 non-US players drafted by NBA teams; 6 of them with NCAA background.

                              1st Round:
                              19. Andrew Nicholson (Canada, St.Bonaventure)
                              20. Evan Fournier (France, Poitiers Basket 86)
                              22. Fab Melo (Brazil, Syracuse)
                              30. Festus Ezeli (Nigeria, Vanderbilt)

                              2nd Round:
                              31. Jeffery Taylor (Sweden, Vanderbilt)
                              32. Tomáš Satoranský (Czech Republic, C.B. Sevilla)
                              48. Kostas Papanikolaou (Greece, Olympiacos)
                              50. Izzet Türkyilmaz (Turkey, Bandirma Banvit BK)
                              51. Kris Joseph (Canada, Syracuse)
                              52. Ognjen Kuzmic (Bosnia and Herzegovina, C.B. Malaga)
                              53. Furkan Aldemir (Turkey, Galatasaray Istanbul)
                              54. Tornike Shengelia (Georgia, Spirou Basket Charleroi)
                              56. Tomislav Zubcic (Croatia, Cibona Zagreb)
                              57. İlkan Karaman (Turkey, Pinar Karşiyaka Izmir)
                              60. Robert Sacre (Canada, Gonzaga)

The biggest surprise was the selection of İlkan Karaman (PF, 2.08, 1990); his EuroChallenge stats, however, were encouraging: 10.1 points, 7.3 rebounds.
My favorites: Kostas Papanikolaou (SF, 2.03, 1990) ‒ 6.1 points, 3.4 rebounds (EuroLeague); Furkan Aldemir (PF, 2.07, 1991) ‒ 6.6 points, 4.8 rebounds (EuroLeague) ‒ hopefully the new Mirsad Türkan and Tornike Shengelia (PF, 2.07, 1991) ‒ 8.3 points, 4.3 rebounds (EuroLeague).
