Shelvin Mack made the Cavs pay tonight by sagging off on him to compress into a zone. That second and third quarter gave the Hawks their win tonight.

Hawks are having a good December as Al Horford is returning to form, winning 10 of 11 games. What I like is their bench quality, starting with Sefalosha's defense.

It would be a real mistake to leave the Atlanta market. That team has not been run well and is not as rooted as it should be. All of the Southern NBA franchises have the same problem as Atlanta, too. New Orleans should be drafting more local players or players from LSU or even playing preseason games around the LA/Alabama area, and should have an NBDL team in Alabama. Atlanta should do the same in Georgia and have an NBDL team in Birmingham. Memphis should have an NBDL team in Little Rock, and Charlotte should have an NBDL team in Charleston. It's no coincidence that the Southern teams are often the ones on the list of teams with financial or attendance problems. It doesn't have to be that way though.

Personally I'd rather see the Clippers, Warriors, Suns, Jazz, or Nuggets move..... especially the Jazz or the Warriors. Actually, this gives me an idea.

According to new sources, Seattle is a prime candidate for relocation.

Hawks to re-sign Shelvin Mack. I feel that Mack really responded to Mike Budenholzer's system last season. He focused more on point guard chores instead of the baseline attack.

Hawks book the last playoff ticket for the eastern conference playoffs by winning against the HEAT tonight. They dedicate this one to the late Lou Hudson who passed away this week.

Nice comeback by the Hawks in the second half against fellow division team, Charlotte. Millsap, Teague and Korver hit a triple each to really swing the offense. Hard to believe but the Bobcats hold a 3 game advantage over the Hawks in the southeast.
