Hawks are having a good December as Al Horford is returning to form, winning 10 of 11 games. What I like is their bench quality, starting with Sefalosha's defense.

Shelvin Mack made the Cavs pay tonight by sagging off on him to compress into a zone. That second and third quarter gave the Hawks their win tonight.

Team done great this December as Budenholzer, being a Popovich disciple uses fast paced tempo in executing those Side PnRs and Pin Downs as well as weak-side post up situations to make the offense efficient. Teague and Schroder are being given the high baseline to attack while the side is constantly shifting with Korver and Millsap running their mis-directions.

The Hawks kind of remind me of Memphis a few years ago, just so underrated.

Apparently there's two bids from Seattle businessmen to buy the Hawks. Chris Hansen is of course one of the vultures circling around.

If the Hawks leave the Atlanta market, that would just be ridiculous.

Hawks just absolutely killed the Wizards 120-89. What is most impressive is that they scored 120 points yet no player had 20 or more. Korver was the highest with 19, and 8 players scored in double figures.

I like the team's focus despite the franchise up for sale and will have a new owner/s in the near future. With parties lead by Dikembe Mutombo or Baseball legend Hank Aaron, it sounds re-assuring that if those parties end up purchasing the franchise, the team is staying.

Horford's one of the most underrated big men in the league, and he proved it tonight.

I have to admit I was secretly hoping Brand went off for 30 after the way the Sixers ruined his career.

Basing on the personal preference of Adam Silver, he would want the Hawks to remain in Atlanta. I can see it happening unless something surprises everyone under the rug. People with Atlanta roots are stepping up to buy shares among groups.

That's lucky #13 straight for the Hawks. Those Side PnR executed with such timing gives Jeff Teague a clear runaway to attack. I hope Schroder will be more assertive and keep attacking.

Wow that is some big time praise. Wallace was one hell of a player with Charlotte.

Up to this day, I still don't know why we just handed Wallace to the Bobcats at the expansion draft. We lost a very versatile player that would have made a difference when we were getting nothing from the bench except Bobby Jackson. But in the end, it worked out well with Wallace's career.

Atlanta's defense is a thing to watch and how quick is their reaction against uptempo teams. Budenholzer makes his players tag their defensive assignment, run in transition defense by not stacking in a logjam, recognize the side corners if there are open shooters and then slide to stop the gap. They can also hold a mean 2-3 zone to mow down teams that screen dumps bigman.

I am glad that three Hawks are in the east all-stars. Horford, Teague and Millsap.
