Los Angeles, June 3 (CNA) Houston Rockets point guard Jeremy Lin said Monday that he now returns to Taiwan every summer and is most looking forward this year to a visit to one of the country's night markets.
During an interview in the final part of the Beyond Linsanity series on CSN Houston, Taiwanese anchor Howard Chen noted Lin's Taiwanese background and his frequent visits back to the island to see relatives, and he asked Lin what his favorite aspect of Taiwan was.
Lin said he loved Taiwan's food most, especially its night markets, but noted that he didn't have a chance to make it to a night market last year because of a full schedule.
He said he would definitely manage to visit one during his trip to Taiwan this summer.
When asked about his Chinese ability, Lin said he could speak some Chinese, but because he did not have much of a chance to use the language during the basketball season, he would continue to learn it by communicating with friends overseas.
Although Lin's performance with the Rockets in the 2012-2013 never reached Linsanity heights and was underwhelming at times, he had respectable numbers during his first regular season with the team and remained extremely popular in Taiwan.
