  • NBA Transactions and Rumors 2011-2012

Post here all transactions (Trades, Signings, Waives / Releases) for all NBA Teams as well as legitimate rumors involving player movements such as potential trades brewing, signings or player releases.

    Buzz around the NBA:

    Monta Ellis (Golden State Warriors)

Ellis has been the subject of trade rumors even during the NBA Finals. Ellis is being linked with various teams like the Philadelphia 76ers, Orlando Magic and the Chicago Bulls.

Josh Smith (Atlanta Hawks) / Chris Kaman (Los Angeles Clippers)

According to Hoopsworld, the LA Clippers and Atlanta Hawks have been discussing this direct swap since late in May as both teams feel that it is time to part with these players and make roster changes. Atlanta would be most beneficial as Al Horford can finally make do his desire to slide down to the Power Forward spot.

    Ramon Sessions (Cleveland Cavaliers)

According to Sessions' agent, as reported by Sporting News; Sessions is clamoring for a trade as the Cavaliers are most likely to draft DUKE point guard Kyrie Irving and retain the veteran Baron Davis on the roster which points to Sessions being the odd man out.

How about Dwight Howard he's a free agent this summer, is he will stay on the Orlando Magic or what? Don't tell me he will also join Bosh and Lebron on Miami Heat? That was sick! For me Ellis must go to Philadelphia 7sixers, he will be good to see playing with Iguodala.

      1. Dwight Howard could ultimately sign elsewhere if he feels that the Orlando Magic are sinking whereas prior to reaching the NBA Finals in 2009, it has been two years of diminishing accomplishments with the Magic. At the moment, Howard has stated that he is keeping his options open for 2012.

      2. Ellis cannot play with Iguodala as the latter has been the subject of swap between both teams where Ellis for Iguodala via direct swap. Good trade for Golden State but bad trade for Philadelphia.

Miami HEAT interested in Samuel Dalembert

Signing a center like Dalembert will help Miami as Dalembert gives them a starting center that can rebound potently and be an inside presence on the defense. The Sacramento Kings could lose Dalembert to contenders like Miami on which the decision is on Dalembert: Does Dalembert after money on which the Kings can offer him the rate of his current contract or does Dalembert would not want to spend his prime years on a bottom dwelling team rather than take less, get a paycut and play for a contender for that elusive championship.

Why do people on this site keep bringing up Howard ending up in Miami? Do you all read Bleacher Report? If so, please stop. Their entertaining, but don't seem to know what they are talking about.

Of course, can someone show me how this can work out? Salaries? Being able to get Bosh or Lebron to agree being traded to Orlando? Pat Riley really giving up on a tream that made it to the Finals in just one season?

Portland Trailblazers interim General Manager Chad Buchanan had confirmed that a number of NBA Teams are inquiring about veteran point guard Andre Miller. However, Buchanan neither confirmed that the Trailblazers are actively shopping Miller and insisted that the Trailblazers are contented with Miller and his contract situation.
