    Former Tennessee Vols head coach Bruce Pearl has turned down the offer to coach the Texas Legends which is owned by the Dallas Mavericks.

    Instead, Pearl was hired by H.T. Hackney as a Vice President of Marketing.

      The Golden State Warriors have name the General Manager of their D-League Team (Dakota Wizards). Kirk Lacob is the new GM. Kirk is the son of Warriors co-owner Joe Lacob.

      Kirk Lacob is the youngest General Manager in NBA D-League history.

        The Springfield Armor have named Bob McKinnon Jr. as the new coach following the departure of Dee Brown, who has joined the Detroit Pistons.

        McKinnon led the Colorado 14ers (Now Texas Legends) to win the 2009 D-League Championship.

            The Rio Grande Valley Vipers will introduce new head coach Nick Nurse in a press conference next week, on Monday. Nurse lead the Iowa Energy to the championship last season and is the reigning NBA D-League coach of the year.

            Nurse also spent his summer being the assistant coach for the Great Britain National Team during the recently concluded Eurobasket.

                          So there's a possibility that the current NBA players may also play in D-league for their farm teams in the time being...instead of playing competitive basketball internationally!

                              As far as I know, only unrestricted free agents may sign with a D-League team. Regular players that are under contract have to be re-assigned by their NBA Teams to a D-League Affiliate.

                              In this case, contact between players and front-office personnel are prohibited.

                                BTW, what's the max salary for a player in D-League? and if teams also have a salary cap regulated by the league?
