Two good D-League call ups:

Jarvis Varnado / Sioux Falls is set to sign with the Boston Celtics. Celtics President Danny Ainge hopes that Varnado, a former Miami HEAT draft pick and tryout will fill the gap left behind by veteran bigman Chris Wilcox.

Chris Douglas - Roberts / Texas Legends debuted and played for the Dallas Mavericks, but they were routed by the San Antonio Spurs. He fills up the spot of the recently waived Derek Fisher. CDR bounced around after his New Jersey and Milwaukee Bucks debut. Played in Italy last season and was even in the training camp of the LA Lakers, but management had Jodie Meeks.

Fab Melo with another monster game: 32 points, 9 rebounds and 9 BLOCKS.

James Anderson of the Rio Grande Valley Vipers got his second call up of the season. Anderson signed with the Houston Rockets this morning. Anderson last month got a call up and signed with the Spurs before being waived and finding himself back in the D-League before Christmas.

Toko Shengelia had a double-double of 39 points and 18 rebounds + 6 assists and 3 steals, while his team beat Maine RC (#1, 16-9) 123-115. It was Toko's second game in D League. He had triple double in first game in December.
