Not in the same league, Jordan would always will his team to the become the champions. In my opinion nobody could finish like he could

Actually he's right. How do you guard plays like this? LeBron should be nominated for an Oscar.

3-11 FG, 46 minutes on court, "but there's no one guy that can guard me". Right

    James: Nobody can guard me

"I think Shawn Marion has done a great job," James said. "Especially offensively. He's picked up his game offensively. Hanging around the rim, getting some lay-ups, getting some tip-backs, playing around the rim. His activity throughout the first two games has been pretty good."

But what about the defensive end?

"I don't feel like it's one guy in this league that can stop me one-on-one," James said. "There's always a defense that's looking at me when I have the ball. He's the guy that's guarding me, but there's no one guy that can guard me."
Again, just when you thought it was no longer possible, LeBron says something that make people hate him even more

I believe this quote was taken slightly out of context, at least I've heard some analysts say that now. I believe Pippen's point was that Lebron has the best all around game he's seen even though Jordan was a better overall scorer.

My opinion on the whole matter is that Lebron has little to no chance to ever match Jordan's accomplishments. Even if he does equal many or all of Jordan's highest accolades (6 championships, 6 Finals MVPs, 5 MVPs, etc., etc.) he will probably do it with more talent around him.

Side note related to all this- Lebron doesn't get enough credit for how impactful he was in Cleveland given his supporting cast. I mean, the guy didn't win a championship and left for Miami and that's what everyone focuses on but tell me another modern day player that could have taken those Cleveland teams to a Finals in '07 and have two seasons where they had the best regular season record in the league? I would bet all my life savings that no modern day player- Wade, Kobe, Howard, Dirk, Durant, etc. could have done what he did there.

You think "abandon" is a little bit strong. Hell, I'd rather play in Miami then Cleveland. I'd rather play for an owner/GM that is willing to spend the money and get good players around me. Look, you may not like the decision, but judging him on it, like he actually did something bad, is hypocritical. Abandon...lol.

Michael Jordan will always be Michael Jordan and Lebron can't be compared to him though he's also a great player. Today the Finals already began and Miami showed some power to defeat Dallas but it's not only because of Lebron James his team mates did a great job specially the captain wade. The Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat hold the home-court advantage. If you want to get your hoop on with this National Basketball Association Finals schedule and a glance at these titans of the court. I found this here: Heat vs. Mavs: Here is the 2011 NBA Finals, newstype.com. It will surely be a great battle between two great teams.

Scottie said that? Wow, well, Kobe is not on par with MJ, and will most likely never become better then MJ. LeBron will be remembered as being better then Kobe, but he will not be remembered as the equal of Michael Jordan. Michael was one of a kind, he dominated the game mentally as he did with his talent, Michael can perhaps be matched by Talent, but not by Basket Ball IQ.

I think LeBron is going to surpass Kobe in the next three years, But I don't think any player will surpass Jordan. Kobe won his first NBA Finals MVP in his early 30's, and he still couldn't shoot over 43% from the field despite playing with a bunch of talented bigmen. Just look at Kobe's stats in the NBA Finals. He only shoot over 50% from the field againts the 2002 New Jersey Nets. Even Wade and LeBron put up better numbers againts a great defensive team like the Boston Celtics and Orlando Magic. I think LeBron is going to have better Finals performance this year compared to Kobe's last 2 NBA Finals performance.
