While John Wall will be playing for the USA Select Team, USA Basketball Chairman Jerry Colangelo has a favorable impression with incoming rookie Brad Beal, the world MVP from the 2010 U-17 world championship.
A bit of optimism to herald the season. This is essentially a fresh start with the Wizards who are still finding a blueprint based on John Wall. Nene Hilario provides maturity and public enemy Andray Blatche is no longer around. I am curious to see Brad Beal when he gets the hang of the NBA.
Washington Wizards falling to the Cleveland Cavaliers 94-84. They almost made a comeback as they pulled within 82-80 late in the fourth, but Cavs converted down the stretch and the Wizards had a scoring drought. John Wall did not play, but it would have been fun to see him compete with Kyrie Irving.
Brad Beal had a good start but was smothered by Cleveland's Alonzo Gee and Dion Waiters.
