It will be interesting on how Nene Hilario will change the culture of the team. Washington gave up the bonehead Javale McGee who was athletic and is a good shot blocker for a savvy low-post operator in the old school play of Nene.
I am also intrigued on how Jordan Crawford will develop. At this point, Crawford is a one on one scorer in the mold.
Also, I expect the Wizards to lure back Andray Blatche into the starting unit.Sacramento Kings

John Wall RBK ‘Beyond the Gold’ Zig Encore
The last time a Wizards player had a signature shoe in gold was when Gilbert Arenas was the face of the franchise with his President Edition Gil-Zero line from ADIDAS.

Wizards likely keeping Ernie Grunfeld
Ernie Grunfeld will return as president of the Washington Wizards, according to two league officials who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Grunfeld and owner Ted Leonsis have tentatively agreed to a deal that is believed to be for more than one year, a deal that would keep the team’s architect in Washington contractually until at least the end of the 2013-2014 season. Financial terms were not known, but Grunfeld’s present deal was set to expire at the end of this season. He has been the Wizards’ chief decision-maker since the late Abe Pollin hired him to take over the franchise in 2003.
The team is expected to make an announcement as early as Tuesday, the officials said. A Wizards official declined comment before Monday night’s game against the Bobcats at Verizon Center.Sacramento Kings

The Washington Wizards are linked to former NBA point guard Sam Cassell as the head coach candidate for next season. Cassell helped the Houston Rockets win two championships in the 90's and won an NBA championship with the Boston Celtics in 2008.Sacramento Kings

John Wall said that this summer, he would be working on the finer points of being a point guard. Wall explained further that he will be taking notes on how to control tempo and place more emphasis on accurate play calling.
In Wall's rookie year, the Wizards accommodated his arrival by playing more uptempo to utilize the physical gifts of Wall. John Wall responded by trying to force the tempo on instances of the 3-2 brake and 4-2 brake. That habit carried over into his sophomore season where the Wizards seem to get worst.
Being the point guard, Wall is largely responsible for his team's losses. The ability to read situations and apply tempo shifts is what the elite point guards thrive on. Veteran point guards know when to settle into set-plays or force the tempo in accordance to judgment.
Wall will be entering his third season and it is looking likely that he will approach the season with a more tactical emphasis. Given his floor vision and tunnel vision, Wall can very much thrive in a settled environment built by the half-court setting. Wall realized that the team has changed when they dealt for Nene Hilario by trading away JaVale McGee. Hilario is a much more effective in a half-court setting as he grew and thrive under the tutelage of George Karl in Denver. McGee was more comfortable in the open ended blitz game.
It will be interesting on how Wall will develop for next season.Sacramento Kings

My pick for the Washington Wizards in the 2012 NBA Draft is Michael Kidd-Gilchrist or Bradley Beal. Drafting MKD would give the Wizards a starting piece at the small forward spot. A front court of Nene Hilario, Andray Blatche and MKD looks promising.
If the Wizards draft Beal, the move will yield John Wall a back court partner. Wall loves to slash while Beal can shoot. Something of a 1-2 combo. Jordan Crawford can assume that of a sixth man scorer if that happens.
Jan Vesely and Trevor Booker can contribute off the bench.
Though there are rumors that the Wizards are still trying to part with Blatche and Rashard Lewis (Contract non-guaranteed). The amnesty clause looks very tempting.Sacramento Kings
