A good trade proposition indeed. This is in line with the rumors that the Timberwolves are planning to trade Michael Beasley while rumors suggests that Rudy Fernandez is not happy with his situation in the Denver Nuggets.

Maybe Fernandez being paired with Rubio in the back-court will be answer to the team's lack of scoring within the shooting guard position.

Fernandez will work well with Adelman's corner offense.

        • I think Kevin Love is due for a huge paycheck via contract extension. I think +$80 Million in a span of five years.

Definitely...he'll be the cornerstone of this young team!

            • Ricky with 6 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in 26 minutes. Wolves' offense looked better with him on court. Some highlight assists, but also some problems defensively. The crowd was really enjoying his game All in all, good debut for him.

Just add a pull up three to his repertoire and we're set!

                • The Minnesota Timberwolves nabbing their first win of the season with an upset over the defending NBA Champions, the Dallas Mavericks 99-82. Kevin Love lead the pack with 25 points and 17 rebounds.

The win gives head coach Rick Adelman his first win with the team as well.

                  • The wolves have till Jan. 15 to renew Love's contract or he's headed elsewhere. More than likely they will unless Kahn has something cooking under his sleeve.

                    • Ricky was the player of the game in the easy win at Washington. 13 points and 14 assists. The offense looks much better with him at the point.
The efficiency from beyond the arc was very important to create a solid lead early in the game.
Beasley was injured and his ball-hogging was certainly not missed. I think the Wolves miss a scorer SG. Who would you think they could get for Beasley?

Rubio's almost never on the floor with Darko, which is probably worth +15 every game. They did a good job spreading the floor and hitting open threes off his penetration. Wizards fans at the game not too happy they traded the #6 pick a few years ago.

                          • I think they could use a scoring SG, but I like their combination of Ridnour, Rubio, Barrea (when healthy) on the court at the same time. Not many SG's available, a few I could think of are J.R. Smith (Available March), Sasha Vujacic, Kelenna Azubuike,Sonny Weems. Any of these sound like a good fit w/the wolves?

From that list i'd take Azubuike... But i'd prefer a more defense oriented SG, who can hit the three (think Bruce Bowen prototype)

i expect Adelman to insert Rubio in the starting line-up after 20 games. This experiment is costing them good starts-- they need to dictate the tempo early. And Ridnour i feel is a classy guy anyway and he will still play better even if he comes off the bench...

                              • Martell Webster is back and practicing with the team full time. Rick Adelman said that it will not be long before Webster plays.

A good depth improvement for the T'Wolves. Webster brings in added punches in the wing as an SG or SF.
