If I am the Mavericks good riddance to him. Why would you want to pay that much for a one dimensional, weak minded player. It's obvious his heart is not in it and does not want to play for your franchise. It's better you come to that realization now rather than later.

I completely agree. He gave the Mavs his word and then went back on it. What the Clippers did was especially classless and showed no integrity whatsoever. They both made a mockery out of free agency and disgraced basketball.

He's a facilitator and lockdown defender not to mention one of the best penetrators in the game. Maybe trade him and Prigioni for Joe Johnson or something. Brooklyn needs a true point guard and they have a need for playmakers and star power. Maybe throw in Wes Johnson since he barely plays.

Either way this means there's a huge opportunity for other guys to step up and get minutes and touches. Blake was/is the main offensive focus of the team. Reddick stepped up last night with 19 pts, and Wes Johnson chipped in 15 off the bench while Mbah a Moute and Pierce started.

Funny that they traded Josh Smith right before they could have actually needed him. They still have Wes Johnson and Lance though. But is that enough? Wes has shown himself to be incredibly inconsistent to a frustrating degree. All the ability to be every bit as good as Andrew Wiggins but none of the competitive fire. So it's on either Mbah a Moute or Lance unless they make a move. Six weeks is a long time in the NBA, and Rivers seems to think it will be longer than that.
