Warriors SG Acie Law has surgery on wrist
OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Golden State Warriors shooting guard Acie Law is recovering after surgery to remove bone spurs in his injured right wrist.
The Warriors said Friday's surgery in New York on Law's wrist was successful. He will be out the rest of the season and be reevaluated by team doctors in four weeks.

Bucks center Bogut needs elbow surgery
MILWAUKEE (AP) -- Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut will miss the last four games of the season because of pain in his right elbow.
The team says Bogut will undergo arthroscopic surgery to remove loose particles and scar tissue in his elbow.
Bogut injured the same elbow, along with his right hand and wrist, in an arm-wrenching fall to the floor near the end of last season. Bogut averaged 12.8 points, a career-high 11.1 rebounds and league-leading 2.6 blocks this season.
The Bucks were expected to contend for a playoff spot this season, but have been eliminated from contention.

Shaq (strained calf) misses second straight game
CHICAGO (AP) -- Boston center Shaquille O'Neal missed his second straight game with a strained right calf when the Celtics played the Chicago Bulls on Thursday night.
The 15-time All-Star returned Sunday against Detroit after missing 27 games because of a sore right leg but lasted just 5 minutes, 29 seconds before leaving again. He did not play against Philadelphia on Tuesday.
Coach Doc Rivers says he thinks O'Neal will be healthy when the playoffs start, but isn't sure what to expect from him, adding that's "the wait and see part about our team."
Boston was second in the Eastern Conference, three games behind Chicago and a half game ahead of Miami entering Thursday.

Wade (thigh bruise) to sit out against Bucks
MIAMI (AP) -- With a week left in the regular season, Miami guard Dwyane Wade is ailing.
Wade was held out of the Heat game against the Milwaukee Bucks on Wednesday night because of a bruised right thigh, even though it's a critical time for Miami in the Eastern Conference playoff chase. The Heat entered the game tied with Boston for the No. 2 spot in the East.
"He's still very sore," Heat coach Erik Spoelstra said. "Couple days of rest, we want to make sure he's as healthy as he can be down the stretch and for the playoffs."
James Jones was in the starting lineup in Wade's usual spot.
Wade is listed as day-to-day. After Wednesday, Miami will have four regular-season games remaining, including what looms as possibly a critical matchup Sunday at home against the Celtics.
Wade was injured in the first half of Miami's win Sunday against the New Jersey Nets. He played in the second half of that game, but needed treatment because of deep soreness Monday and Tuesday. He did not participate in Miami's shootaround practice Wednesday morning, either.
The Heat host Charlotte on Friday.
"If he doesn't feel like he's able to go out there and give 100 percent, then he should take the rest," Heat forward LeBron James said. "I don't think it's about the Boston game, either. I think it's about the playoffs. We want him as close to 100 percent as possible before the playoffs start. If he's ready Friday, he should play. If not, he should sit. If he's ready Sunday, he should play. If not, he should sit then too."
Wade came into Wednesday as the NBA's No. 3 scorer this season, averaging 25.7 points. Wednesday marked the fifth game he has missed this season.
What a bad timing for Wade to get banged up at this time of the season right before the playoffs.

Nuggets' Mosgov helped off court with knee, ankle sprain
DENVER (AP) -- Center Timofey Mozgov sprained his left knee and ankle in the first quarter of the Denver Nuggets' game against Oklahoma City on Tuesday night and was helped to the locker room.
Mozgov cut into the lane from the right corner, took a pass from Kenyon Martin with 2:44 left in the first quarter and was about to go up for the layup when Thunder defender Nick Collison fell into him while drawing the charge from Martin.
Mozgov's left leg buckled and he immediately fell to the floor, where he stayed for a minute while team medical personnel tended to him.
Mozgov, who was coming off his best game since being dealt from the New York Knicks in the Carmelo Anthony trade, was helped off the court, hopping until he reached the tunnel to the locker room, where he grimaced as he tried to put weight on his injured leg.
Update:
Nuggets' Mosgov out 10-14 days with knee, ankle sprains
DENVER (AP) -- Denver Nuggets center Timofey Mozgov is out 10 to 14 days with sprains in his left knee and ankle.
MRIs on Wednesday revealed a Grade 1 MCL sprain in his left knee and a Grade 2 deltoid ligament sprain in his left ankle, the team said. He has no fractures.
Mozgov was injured in the first quarter of Denver's 101-94 loss to Oklahoma City on Tuesday night and stayed behind when his teammates flew to Dallas for a game against the Mavericks on Wednesday night.
Mozgov was coming off his best game since being traded from the New York Knicks on Feb. 22 as part of the Carmelo Anthony blockbuster deal.Last edited by Khalid80; 04-07-2011, 07:22 AM.

Six injured Wizards shut it down for rest of season
WASHINGTON (AP) -- Everybody's out for the season for the Washington Wizards. At least it seems like it.
Coach Flip Saunders said Tuesday that the six injured players on his roster will not return for the final half-dozen games.
Several of the six have been out for a while already. Nick Young has a bone bruise in his left knee. Josh Howard has nagging tendinitis in his left knee. Rashard Lewis has nagging soreness in his right knee. Trevor Booker has a broken bone in his right foot.
The newer additions include Hamady Ndiaye, who strained a tendon in his left knee during warmups on Sunday at Charlotte. Also, Cartier Martin has been diagnosed with a stress fracture in his left foot and might require surgery.
The Wizards were left with nine healthy players for Tuesday night's game against Detroit. Saunders said the team might sign a player from the D-League to help finish out the season.
"I would like to get another guy," Saunders said, "because my concern is ... we go play four games in five days, so when you have to play extended minutes they're going to hit a wall at some point - or they're going to get hurt."

ATLANTA (AP) -- Jason Collins left Atlanta's game against San Antonio with a sprained left ankle.

Collins was escorted to the Hawks' locker room. Collins did not return to the bench for the start of the second half. Zaza Pachulia took over at center.
The 7-foot Collins has been a part-time starter this season. He started against the Spurs with forward Josh Smith held out with swelling in his right knee.

Hamstring to sideline Nuggets' Afflalo two more games
DENVER (AP) -- Denver Nuggets guard Arron Afflalo will sit out the next two games in hopes he can return strong for the push run and the playoffs.
Heading into Tuesday night's showdown against Oklahoma City at the Pepsi Center, Afflalo had missed eight of the Nuggets' previous 11 games while battling a strained left hamstring.
Nuggets coach George Karl said at shootaround Tuesday that he planned to also sit Afflalo at Dallas on Wednesday night in hopes he'd be ready to play at Oklahoma City on Friday night.
Also sitting out Tuesday night is Denver forward Chris "Birdman" Andersen, who has an ankle injury.
