Shaq out for Game 2; Haslem out for Miami

MIAMI (AP) -- Boston center Shaquille O'Neal is out for Tuesday's Game 2 of the Celtics' Eastern Conference semifinal series against the Miami Heat.

O'Neal scrimmaged with the Celtics in practice on Monday. Celtics coach Doc Rivers says O'Neal looked good at times, then had trouble getting around by the end of the session. Rivers says O'Neal may be "likely" to play in Game 3 at Boston on Saturday.

O'Neal has missed much of the past three months with calf problems.

Meanwhile, Heat coach Erik Spoelstra says forward Udonis Haslem will remain out for Game 2. Haslem has not played since Nov. 20 with a ruptured ligament in his left foot.

Thunder's Ibaka misses practice on Thursday

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Starting power forward Serge Ibaka did not participate in the Oklahoma City Thunder's practice Thursday because of a sprained left ankle.
Coach Scott Brooks says Ibaka is day-to-day. The Thunder are officially listing him as probable for Game 3 on Saturday in Memphis. The series is tied 1-1.

Ibaka had the most blocked shots in the NBA this season and has had double-doubles in four of Oklahoma City's seven games this postseason. Before twisting his ankle in the fourth quarter, Ibaka hurt his right knee in the third quarter of Game 2.

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) -- Starting power forward Serge Ibaka returned to practice Friday for the Oklahoma City Thunder and coach Scott Brooks says he will play against Memphis in Game 3 on Saturday.

Ibaka missed practice Thursday while nursing injuries to his right knee and left ankle that he suffered in Game 2 on Tuesday night.

Ibaka had the most blocked shots in the NBA this season and has had double-doubles in four of Oklahoma City's seven games this postseason.

The series with the Grizzlies is tied at 1-1.

Celtics' Rondo dislocates elbow, returns to game

BOSTON -- Boston Celtics point guard Rajon Rondo dislocated his left elbow in Saturday night's playoff game after crashing to the court in a tangle with Miami Heat guard Dwyane Wade.

Rondo remained on the floor while the team doctor rushed out to attend to him. After a few minutes, Rondo was helped to his feet and walked off the court, with Dr. Brian McKeon immobilizing Rondo's left arm.

Rondo returned to the Celtics' bench at the end of the third quarter and got a standing ovation. The Celtics said his elbow was dislocated, but he returned for the start of the fourth quarter.

Wade was called for a foul.

The Heat entered the game with a 2-0 lead over Boston in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference semifinals.

Rondo averaged 17 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds so far in the playoffs.

Warriors' Stephen Curry has surgery on ankle

OAKLAND, Calif. (AP) -- Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry had surgery on his right ankle but is expected to be ready by training camp in the fall.

The Warriors said Wednesday the surgery was performed by Dr. Bob Anderson in Charlotte, N.C. Curry missed eight games last season because of multiple sprains on his right ankle.

He still averaged 18.6 points, 5.8 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game. Alongside backcourt teammate Monta Ellis, Curry helped the Warriors to a 36-46 record. That was a 10-game improvement from the previous season.

Nowitzki says he has torn tendon in finger

Miami, FL (Sports Network) - Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki said he tore a
tendon in his left middle finger during Game 1 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday.

Nowitzki and the Mavs lost the game, 92-84, after LeBron James and the Heat
pulled away in the second half.

Following the game, Nowitzki said he had an X-ray on his left hand and that
nothing was broken. But he said he will need to wear a splint on the finger,
which is on his non-shooting hand.

Nowitzki, chasing his first NBA title, scored 27 points to lead all players in
the game.

"I'll be all right," he said afterward. "It's on my left hand."

James seemed to agree when asked about the injury, saying: "The left hand is
just a guide hand, we all know that."
