  • Jason Kidd is fired after a collective decision by the management after the team regressed so bad this January and they are barely holding on to the 8th spot. Curious to see how the team responds with an interim head coach.

    • Wow. That rarely happens with a team coming off of multiple seasons of making the playoffs.

      • Looks like Jabari Parker will suit up against the Knicks. Yahoo Sports reported that he will get around 15mins if given a game-time decision.

                • Ersan Ilyasova agrees to 3-year, $21M deal with Bucks.

                  • After a very difficult off season where the Bucks managed to keep most of the key core with the team, but in order to avoid passing over the lux tax threshold had to part with Brogdon and Mirotic, i believe the Bucks should now concentrate on trades, so that they can make back as much as possible of Brogdon's and Mirotic' absence.

As it is, the Bucks have added Robin Lopez and (future promising) Dragan Bender next to D.J. Wilson and Robin Lopez, therefore Ilyasova's contract would logically seem to be the most probable to be involved in a possible upcoming deal.

                    • No surprise that at the end of this coming season the Bucks will offer Giannis a super max extension.
You heard it here first a year in advance that he will not accept and will play out his contract and enter free agency after the 2020-21 season.

                      • Other positions other than the bigs that the Bucks are overcrowded, include 3&D SG/SF combo wings... Clearly, the Bucks have signed Matthews before they ever knew that Korver will join the team... Brown & Connaughton both contributed the most they could last season and they are expected to be significantly better this season as well as their contracts being the least expensive among team salaries... Therefore one should expect Matthews to join Ilyasova in being available for a trade later this season, when his trade restriction will be lifted.

                        • GM Jon Horst confirms that the Bucks will offer a 5-years / 247M super max contract to Giannis before the 20-21 season starts. At that point Giannis will be eligible for a contract extension but will still have another season left before his previous contract expires.

Giannis confirmed during multiple interviews he had in Greece that he plans to accept the contract extension which will be offered to him by the Bucks, because he is very satisfied with the organization and wants to win the NBA title with the Bucks.

On the same interview, GM Jon Horst said that the Bucks governors have no objection to go above the luxury tax threshold, but "they have to do it at the right time" (obviously during the 1st season that Giannis contract extension will count in the books)...

                          • Perhaps the most interesting video was posted today to the Bucks Fb page... It is an interview of the Bucks GM John Horst:

                            • The Bucks will most likely have the best record in the NBA and the reigning MVP for 2 consecutive years. They have to cement it with an NBA title or else they are just footnotes with very little meaning.
