That's a really smart plan IMO.

Bucks sign Jorge Gutierrez to a 10 day contract. We've all seen how good this kid can be this past summer so let's hope he gets a real shot.

I'm thrilled that the Bucks are staying for good. A lot of history for this franchise from Lewis Alcindor - Sydney Moncrief to the early 2000s with Ray Allen and his motley crew of Cassell, Tim Thomas, Robinson etc. They also had some good hopes when Michael Redd, Maurice Williams and Andrew Bogut were still around.

Yeah, I kind of see Milwaukee as what Minneapolis might have been had they gotten a team less than 25 years after the Lakers bolted. Milwaukee doesn't get its due for its basketball history. Not just the Bucks but they have also produced some solid talent and Marquette as well.

According to reports, Larry Sanders and the Bucks are on the process of a contract buyout.

That's really interesting. When his mind is right, he is one hell of a player, especially on defense. That contract probably scared teams away from trading for him though.

Edit: Supposedly the buyout is complete but not official.

MCW started against Philadelphia and is doing good in the first quarter. He looks sharp.

This is something I wish more kids who are considering basketball above high school level would actually think about. First off, there's no guarantee. Look at Thomas Robinson, Harkless, and so many other guys who got drafted high and never got a real shot to see what they can be. Second, yes it's a possible road to riches and fame and everything you could ever think you want but it comes at the cost of your life. Your life will not be your own, neither will your face, your personality, your body, or anything else. You become a brand and property of everybody who wants a piece of you. You can't ever be yourself or speak your mind again unless you want to risk potential money and earning potential. It's all business, and it's very difficult to meet real people who will like you for you. The most important thing is though, that it's for life. Even if you only play a year, once you've played in the NBA, that is what you will always be known as, good or bad. I would hope that Larry Sanders doing something courageous like this will get players in high school or college to really consider these things and weigh the pros and cons before making such a huge life decision. "Don't forget the 'and'" is probably the best mindset a basketball player thinking about turning pro can have, because you're a person first and foremost.

And yeah, MCW had a pretty solid game from what I've seen. I only caught the replay starting about 45 min-1hr in already so I didn't see the beginning but having a true point guard looking to get his teammates involved should help the Bucks tremendously. This could also allow them to start OJ Mayo, who obviously didn't do well having to share the ball with a scoring guard like Brandon Knight.

MCW, Middleton, Antetokounmpo, Pachulia and Ilyasova is the best Bucks defensive unit of this season. Jason Kidd fielded that and it proved effective in the 3rd and 4th quarter. Best defensive unit combination so far. We'll see when Jabari Parker comes back next season.

Apparently the Bucks signed Jorge Gutierrez to a multi-year contract a few days ago. He could really make a name for himself in the playoffs if given a shot a la Mike House with Boston/Miami, Damon Jones with Miami/Cleveland or JJ Barea with Dallas in 2011.

New Bucks' uniforms, maybe? Nothing has been confirmed, but if these pics are any indication, their new unis look pretty cool. They harken back to the 1980s with Terry Cummings, Jack Sikma and Ricky Pierce.
