Bobcats sign undrafted rookie James Southerland, who was a product of Syracuse University.
I remember Southerland suiting up for Orlando in the Orlando summer league and with Golden State for the Vegas summer league.Sacramento Kings

I was listening to some Bobcats podcast from head coach Steve Clifford about the Bobcats offense for next season and he said that it will go through Al Jefferson. Which means Jefferson will be the focal point of the offense.
It is an interesting matter. Jefferson is a post up player with size, strength and a polished skill. Under Ty Corbin with the Jazz, Jefferson had good numbers in operating from the post.
Examining the composition of the Bobcats main roster:
Post - Jefferson, Zeller, Biyombo, Tolliver, McRoberts and Haywood.
Wing - Gordon, Henderson, Sessions, Kidd-Gilchrist, Walker and Adrien.
I have to wonder that aside from utilizing a quick post up play like the Clear-Post and Post-ISO, Clifford will incorporate the post game of Jefferson into the Bobcats' offense system.
I can think of two of one offense built around a post player: Double Up
It is a 5-Out post oriented offense that will give Jefferson the freedom to man the post for the feed delivery while opens up the floor within and outside the paint for open shots and aggressive drives. Besides that, this is ideal for a team that ranks below the defensive ratings and in the Bobcats' state, despite a new coach, the defense won't improve dramatically.
In this set-up, 3-2 zones and trapping zones are dared to collapse on Jefferson that will leave players like Gordon and Walker some space to get a good look, increasing their percentage. Walker can be flanked by PF's like Zeller and McRoberts given the 5-Out approach.
Aside from making spaces outside the perimeter, this offense allows some nifty back-cuts, flash cuts and dribble break if the defense focuses more on the perimeter. Players like Sessions and Kidd-Gilchrist can use their penetration ability more under this set-up.
Odd-man out: Biyombo.Sacramento Kings
