  • USA vs. Exhibition Opponents (Series History)

Unfortunately, due to data corruption, I wasn't able to upload the original document as it was intended to look. I did however scan paper documents of all four match-ups and they are now available for viewing. The presentation looks much better then before and there is no processing drag...have a look!

Thanks for the positive feedback. I didn't post these docs to draw attention to myself or to boost how dominant the USA has been over these countries. If anything, I think it's important for people to have a historical perspective in order to appreciate the magnitude of what these opponents are attempting to achieve. With such a young, inexperienced team, there's a real possibility that the US could go 1-3 on their tour. Sure, these aren't "official" contests, but for many of the US's main rivals there's always this fight against history, and it brings out the best in countries like Spain, Greece, and Lithuanian when they play against us.

Nicely done, though I wonder are we just playing France in New York, or was it one of Puerto Rico or China as well?

There will be a game vs. China but I don't think it'll be made public.

Nicely done. Games have gotten much closer with each passing era. I don't expect the exhibition games to tell much however - the US team will likely win in blowouts. It's all about the knockout stage just like in 2006 and 2008...

I know this sounds out of place but I did enjoy the TEAM USA vs. South Korea NT as an exhbition game prior to the FIBA World Championship in 2006 at Saitama.

This is fantastic!! Thanks so much for writing, compiling, and formatting this information, Federoy. I love having these kinds of tables for reference. Fantastic!!
"I really like the attitudes of eagles. They never give up. When they grab a fish or something else, they never let it go. It doesn't matter. In a book, they write they find a skeleton of [an] eagle and there is no fish. It means that the fish beat him and killed him, but he didn't let go." -- Donatas Motiejunas

              Thanks for the great info
I know this might be too much to ask for but do you happen to have the results of U.S vs. Soviet Union? and then U.S vs. Serbia?
              Thanks

Hmmmm....Not sure what's going on on your end. They seem to come up without issue over here. Could it be a problem with your browser settings? Maybe your privacy settings are set too high. The links definitely work. If you're trying to cut and paste the links onto the address field it might not work.
