Moving on, the meeting between Chris Paul and the Hornets staff did not go so well as various insiders on the Hornets have reported that Paul still wants out of New Orleans.
2 years left on Paul's contract. He's got zero leverage right now and has no choice but to play his contract out.

(Then again, we've seen stupid GM's deal with this so i won't be surprised for Paul for a couple of expirings, some picks and cash)
If there is no basketball in heaven, i am NOT going.

    SMALLBALL, bitches..

Up to this day, I can't believe that the Atlanta Hawks had passed up on Chris Paul on the 2005 NBA Draft and instead selected Marvin "Mr. Marvelous" Williams.

      Facepalm moments that lasts forever.

They passed on Deron Williams too. Amazing.

Hell, at this point you might as well add Raymond Felton to the list.

Paul refuses to commit to the Hornets

NEW ORLEANS (AP) Chris Paul jumped at the chance to express his love for New Orleans during his annual youth basketball camp on Tuesday.

Only the subject of his future with the Hornets gave him pause.

Paul said his meeting with Hornets general manager Dell Demps, head coach Monty Williams and team president Hugh Weber on Monday "went really well."

But when given the chance to say without reservation that he did not want to be traded, Paul said now was not the time.

"There will be a time," Paul said, trying to repeatedly to turn the focus of his comments back to his work in the community and his camp at Tulane University.

"I stay committed to the city of New Orleans," Paul said. "Everything else we talked about (in Monday's meeting with the club), like Mr. Demps said, we want to keep some of that stuff private."
Paul's conduct and his negative media attention is detrimental to the team's morale coming into the training camp.

IF Chris Paul gets traded, the lineup would look like:

              G Darren Collison
              G Marcus Thornton
              F Quincy Pondexter
              F David West
              C Emeka Okafor

              Still a decent line-up.

what about Peja Stojakovic?? he is a sharp shooter.. he can be a solid contributor for new orleans this season..with the departure of mo peterson he is locked to be the starting small forward of the team

I forgot about Peja. I wanted a youth movement on the floor as starters, and saving up Peja Stojakovic as reserve.

Peja still be their 1 option at 3 position, where he can be the recipient of the kick out pass either by the slashing player or a post up player or about kick out pass from a offensive rebound situation..

If he is healthy, then by all means utilize him. I haven't seen Peja Stojakovic having a good game in years. Plus, Quincy Pondexter has a strong upside.

But Quincy Pondexter is a rookie so he will adjust in the first part of the season. another weakness of the New Orleans is that their center position was too weak. They only have Emeka Okafor and Aaron Gray.. Both of these players are too slow to guard the center of the other team..

And Peja Stojakovic and James Posey aren't getting any younger. So my take will be a youth-movement altogether on which Chris Paul must be patient or if the New Orleans Hornets feel that Darren Collison is ready, they might trade Paul altogether.

Chris Paul and the New Orleans Hornets have come into terms and Paul said on an interview:

We're all good. I will be working out next week to get into shape for training camp. I need to bounce back after a disappointing year
                            asked about Darren Collison

He's a terrific guard and a good friend; we can co-exist and carry this team.

If its going to get closed I'd like to put in one comment/prediction. Even though he is stating that everything is good between him and the organization I don't buy it. I mean to say, I am sure they are on good terms- most organizations will do anything to keep a top 5-10 player happy, but I believe he sees other guys his age like Lebron, Wade, etc. navigating their way to championship contenders and he wants to do the same.
Paul is publicly stating that he is happy with the organization because (again, in my opinion) 1) New Orleans wasn't going to trade him any time soon and he doesn't want to create bad relations with the fans while he is still there and 2) his trade value and the options New Orleans has to trade him dwindle if he publicly says he wants out
I believe he will be out of New Orleans by next year

Your right, this season for now where Chris Paul I think is out for personal reasons, will try to have a strong performance similar to Dwyane Wade back in 2008-2009 season.

I'm looking forward to that Melo,Amare and Paul teamup in NYC where after all is no longer farfetched after the Miami get-together.
