  • Great win tonight for us, and it should definitely boost the team's spirits and confidence. As stated before, All-Star Weekend is next and we currently have Demarcus COusins competing in the Rising Stars Challenge, and we could possibly have Tyreke Evans in the Skills Challenge, although it is pretty unlikely. As for the arena plans, I am optimistic something will be worked out and we will be able to watch the Kings play in Sacramento next season.

    • Skills challenge participants:

Stephen Curry (Golden State Warriors) *Defending Champion
      Kyrie Irving (Cleveland Cavaliers)
      Tony Parker (San Antonio Spurs)
      John Wall (Washington Wizards)
      Russell Westbrook (Oklahoma City Thunder)
      Deron Williams (New Jersey Nets)

Even Jeremy Lin is not on the list. Atleast we have Demarcus Cousins in the Rising Stars challenge. But I do feel that if Isaiah Thomas Jr. had been playing a well a month earlier, he could have been with Cousins.

      • Yeah, although Stephen Curry is ruled out because of an injury, so there will need to be a replacement. Next year, we might not have anyone in the competitions... Maybe Jimmer if he picks up his threes of Demarcus maybe becomes an All-Star but... Anyways, I am just hoping to see us finsh off the season +.500 as play-offs look pretty unlikely as of now...

        • Up next for the Sacramento Kings is a two game home stand against the visiting Utah Jazz (Feb. 28) and the high flying Los Angeles Clippers (March 1). Two winnable games.

          • I will definitely watch Demarcus Cousins in the Rising Stars Challenge. Cousins will be re-united with Kentucky teammate, John Wall. The chemistry is still there. I hope Cousins wins MVP and leads his team to the win.

            • I hope to see Tyler Honeycutt enter the dunk contest in the future. Hopefully, his career will not be a Gerald Green.

              Honeycutt has hops.

Negotiations continued through the night. What everyone expects is for the Maloofs to contribute something into the financing deal. If negotiations have a breakthrough on the financing, the city council must pass a vote to ratify the whole thing before March 6, 2012.

                  • I look forward to the home game against the Utah Jazz. Demarcus Cousins and Jason Thompson will face off against the Jazz bigmen of Al Jefferson, Paul Millsap, Enes Kanter and Derrick Favors.

A very winnable game for the Kings.

                    • A financing deal is complete with the Maloof Family contributing $70 Million to the financing scheme. City Council will set a vote among themselves for approval.

                          • SO HAPPY!!! Glad the deal has gotten its' framework done... Now we just need the council to approve. I am optimistic though, this deal is great for California /Kings/Sacramentens.
