  • Tomorrow, the Sacramento Kings take on their Pacific division rivals, the Golden State Warriors. Keith Smart, coached the Warriors last season but was not retained due to the owner's decision. Instead, they hired TNT NBA Analysts Mark Jackson.

Months forward, Keith Smart succeeded Paul Westphal and will play the team he coached. I like our chances in this one. Smart knows the core group of the Warriors and judging from last season's facts, the Warriors had always trouble in defending Tyreke Evans.

Evans is a walking mis-match against Ellis, Curry and Robinson. While Fredette and Thomas could prove competitive against the said squad.

The main cause of concern will be on the Kings' defense. The Warriors love running those weak-side and staggered screens for Curry and Ellis. Both guards are proficient in those read and react moment. Both men can score or distribute under those sets. The Kings' defense should prepare an aggressive on-ball defense and switches on the ball-screen.

All time series is tied at 181 all.

    • The Sacramento Kings were unable to stage a comeback against the Golden State Warriors and fell 93-90. The Kings were outscored 11-0 to start the fourth quarter after three quarters of a close game. Thomas pulled the Kings close with a three pointer with 2.1 remaining to close the gap 91-90. After free-throws made by Rush to put the Warriors 93-90, Tyreke Evans missed a potential game tying shot.

Evans finished with a near triple double of 22 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Demarcus Cousins 21 points and 14 rebounds.

      • Sad to see us lose a game where we easily could've won. It's alright though, we put up a good fight and almost forced the game into overtime, as well. Our next matchup is against the Portland Trailblazers, yet again, except we finally get to face them in Sacramento. We've suffered two blowout losses to the Blazers this year, but I don't see another one coming, at least at home. If we can at least be in reach of a win tomorrow, then I'll be satisfied.

          • The Sacramento Kings will host the Portland Trailblazers tomorrow night. The Kings were beaten black and blue by the Trailblazers home court in two previous meetings. The Kings hope to get back at home.

Defense as well as timely seals in Gerald Wallace and Lamarcus Aldridge will help damped the productivity of the Trailblazers.

            • Good write up for Isaiah Thomas Jr.. He was quite the steal for the Kings and I have not expected that he would have contributed right away. Our current sixth-man.

              • Tyreke Evans seems to be progressing as well as responding to the quick motion offense set up by Keith Smart. I hope he keeps it up. We are seeing a bit of resurgence from Evans on his points, assists and rebounds.

What Smart did was asked Evans to be a more quick reader when handling the ball instead of just seeking an open lane for which to drive to the basket. The result was Evans' assists numbers going up.

                  • Up next for the Sacramento Kings are the Golden State Warriors who will visit the team. Last time the two teams met, it was a close win for the Warriors 93-90. The Kings hope to do a little bit of home cooking in getting back.

                    • March 1, 2012 is the deadline for the Sacramento Kings owners, the Maloof Brothers to file for relocation. There is the eerie silence wherein the Maloofs are playing the waiting game. The fate of the franchise now hinges on the proposed privatization of city owned parking spaces and garages that is estimated to bring in $115 million to $195 million in revenue to help pay for the proposed new arena downtown worth $406 million.

If the City Council rejects the privatization of the parking places, the arena project is as good as dead.

Elsewhere in Anaheim, the Honda Arena is preparing to upgrade the facility in hopes of luring the Maloofs and the franchise.

So a concrete financing plan should be ratified by all the city proponents by then. It seems that the League will not allow a deadline reconsideration from March 1. The agreement between the city, franchise, owners and the league as of last year still stands; no flexibility. David Stern did enough by granting an extension last year. However, Stern and the league will also support relocation to Anaheim if no concrete finance plans are to be made.

                      • First off, I'd just like to say I am glad of our great victory last night. Isaih Thomas was very valuable, playing very good on both offense and defense. Tyreke Evans, John Salmons, and Jason Thompsn played their fair share as well. Marcus Thornton had a nice comeback game, too. I expect us to carry over this nice momentum and come out with a victory against our local rivals. A win would definitely boost our hopes of finishing higher than we look like we wuld, right now.

As for the arena plans, I hope the Maloofs start thinking soon. I really don't want the Kings to leave, I'm a die-hard fan and it'd be painful to see all this potential leave to Anahiem. Maybe Mayor Kevin Johnson can get something going for the arena plans?...

                              • Great victory tonight for us, especially against the local rivals in the Golden State Warriors. I was afraid we would lose the game after the excessive turnovers in the fourht quarter, but then we had a chance to win in reuglar time. Klay Thompson hit a great shot to send the gam into over time, but we won by eight anyways. Lots of great individual performances tonight, but the team play wasn't bad either. The onew ofeens eis looking pretty good, Keith Smart knows what he is doing. Just wanted to mention that I thought Demarcus Cousins and Jason Thompson formed a great rebounding duo, and combined for 36 REBOUNDS!!! If they keep that up, we shouldn't lose to many games...
