  • Sacramento King DeMarcus Cousins talks about rough season

It has been an up and down season for Cousins as he is experiencing challenges that tests his maturity. The good thing now is that he listens and is more open to teammates and the coaching staff.

    • Head coach Keith Smart has a different opinion towards Jason Thompson. Smart said that Thompson is getting the hang of the system. Maybe the Kings front office will change their mind and offer a contract extension sheet.

The Kings were trailing by as much as 16 points, but a 26-8 scoring against the Indiana Pacers allowed the Kings to grab the win. Marcus Thornton scored a team high 17 points. Demarcus Cousins added 13 points and hauled down 19 rebounds.

Tyreke Evans had a quiet game of 8 points, 7 assists and 6 rebounds. Francisco Garcia fired 16 points off the bench.

          • I'm so happy happy with this big comeback, especially because it was against a hot team in the Indiana Pacers. All we need to do now is not trail by so much all the time, and we should compete in most of our games and potentially win most of our games, as well. By the way, I really like all the updates you post CKR13, keep them coming (if you can)!

              • Also, I like the motion offense of the Sacramento Kings under Keith Smart. Evans has increased his assists by +3.1 in the past four games on his regular season average. Evans is more of a distributor under Smart and the other members are responding as well.

I do hope that Fredette will eventually latch on to this offense. He will thrive with this setup.

                • Thank you. And I do agree, Tyreke has been more of a true point guard under Keith Smart. As for Jimmer, I believe it's just the schedule that's leading to his poor showings recently, nothing more than that. Once he gets accomodated to the NBA schedule (which is much tougher this year than usual with the lockout), he should become a nice piece for our team. Also, Demarcus Cousnins has been much more productive with Smart taking over recently, he's gotten a scurry of double-doubles. I really think Smart is what we needed, some new blood and a coach who can get a good offense running.

                    • Up next are the San Antonio Spurs who will be hosting the Sacramento Kings. The Spurs are 1-1 in their Florida road trip against the Miami HEAT (Lost) and (Won) the Orlando Magic.

While the Kings are coming off from a win against the Indiana Pacers. This is a game where the Kings cannot afford a bad start and will have to play their best to even compete and make a game out of it.

                              • Thank goodness for John Salmons, he might've saved the game for us in the last couple of possesion. Tyreke Evans and Demarcus Cousins were ver ygood in this game, and our team as a whole deserved this voctory. Btw, this is our first win in San Antonio since 2006. Our record is now 6-10.
