I understand playing one game against them, they are our rivals, but c'mon. Why'd we have to play them twice?!? I feel like we need to test ourselves in the preseason and play someone like Oklahoma City, for example, and see how much we've progressed (or degressed for that matter) over the offseason.

As much as I don fancy playing two preseason games against the Warriors, we don't have a choice I'm afraid. Because of the compressed schedule that we happen to draw them.

Hayes played with the Houston Rockets last season. While I respect Hayes' toughness and work ethic, I perceived him as not a fit within the Kings' culture. For one, Hayes is undersized and instead of signing Hayes, I would like the Kings to test Whiteside off the bench.

Barea should re-sign with the Dallas Mavericks. I would rather give and allocate minutes to Jimmer Fredette and Isaiah Thomas Jr.

I'd take either JJ Barea or Chuck Hayes, but I'd rather sign Hayes because of the depth we already have in the backcourt.

We open the 2011-2012 Season in December 26 at home against the Los Angeles Lakers.

That's not a bad game to open off our season for a few reasons. A) We can catch them coming off a back-to-back against the Bulls. B) The team will be pumped up to play our most fierce rivals C) We'll have a home court advantage and D) We can get rid of the tough oppents early on inthe season. I really like it.
