DeMarcus Cousins shares World Championship aspirations

I doubt Cousins will make it to the final 12 under Coach K. There hasn't been a Kings representative for Team USA since Brad Miller was selected for the 2006 world championships. At this point, Cousins thrives in a high usage (PER) environment and not ideal for Team USA's balanced attack.

I am intrigued by this rumor floating around that the Kings and Bucks share a mutual interest in a draft day trade. Bucks are willing to offer Larry Sanders and Brandon Knight. I am quite hesitant on taking Sanders' salary on our books as he is overpaid.

For the upcoming draft, the Kings are widely know open for business. We could trade the 8th pick for a solid player/s. At the moment, Kings are intrigued by Tyler Ennis (PG) and Aaron Gordon (PF). While Kings are also showing interest in Bosnia's Jusuf Nurkić.

Our office is split in re-signing Isaiah Thomas for long term and have reported to be gauging the market for a Thomas + 8th pick overall package.

Kings make a qualifying offer to Isaiah Thomas and that makes him a restricted free agent. While Rudy Gay has officially opted in.

Happy that we got Stauskas and we almost traded Ben McLemore too. Our GM did say that trades are still a possibility and I think it involves Isaiah Thomas or Ben McLemore on a package.

Isaiah Thomas, the former 60th pick has offers from the Detroit Pistons, Los Angeles Lakers, Miami HEAT, Milwaukee Bucks and Orlando Magic. Lakers and Pistons are the most aggressive. Pistons reported to be offering Brandon Jennings to us.

McLemore and McCallum have been working out separately but will suit up to see hone their improvements. Derrick Williams and Quincy Acy have really expressed their thrill in playing for the Kings. We have Sim Bhullar a 7-5 Canadian - Indian who was undrafted but will see action.

your opinion about ben mclemore?

In my opinion, McLemore is still raw and has a long way to go before he can be an effective and efficient 2 guard in this league. He has the tools like athleticism and that shooting stroke, but has not yet been polished enough for NBA level defense.

McLemore is still slow in learning to navigate and start with the catch-and-shoot game that we tried to instill as a sent last season. McLemore still has too many wasted movement to be an effective catch-and-shoot. He wastes like 2 seconds surveying the field before shooting and by that time, the challenge by the defender have closed the gap and leading to a contested shot.

McLemore must also work on his ball handling. The lack of handles has him very predictable when times call for him to make his own shot.

For defense, he is a poor defender still and will still need more training on that one. He gets lost on those shuffles and side picks that the wings employs against the Kings.

Kings sign Darren Collison to a 3 year deal worth $16 Million. Looks like Kings won't match any offers that the Pistons or Lakers could field...

We traded Isaiah Thomas to the Phoenix Suns for a trade exception valued around $7 million and the rights to forward Alex Oriakhi. We will be seeing Thomas four games in the regular season as the Kings are not willing to shell out that much money on Thomas so we got a cheaper insurance with Darren Collison, a pass first point guard who's statistics dwindled ever since his rookie year with New Orleans. $7 million trade buffer does offer some possibilities next season.

Demarcus Cousins summer workout. He has been watching the Kings summer league team in between workouts. Cousins is also helping Sim Bhullar with basketball. That, and Cousins looks in great shape when Team USA camp opens.
