There is talk of athree-way trade between Golden State, Minnesota and the Knicks where Lee winds up with the Timberwolves, Monta Ellis comes to the Knicks and Al Jefferson goes to Golden State. Lee visited Minnesota yesterday and it has only $7 million in cap room, meaning he'd want a sign-and-trade.

Joe Johnson has agreed to a six-year, $119 million deal to stay with the Hawks..

That's some contract for one of the most underrated star players..
Philippines is in National Team transition mode.

[QUOTE=CKR13;441770...Antoine Walker, Danny Fortson...[/QUOTE]Ah, yes. That's right. Those were two pretty bad contracts. Dampier's contract was also bad, but at the time, I think people thought it was OK because he was coming off a great season in Golden State, if I remember correctly.

Do you mean overrated? That's what I think, personally. He's very overrated.

I would say underrated.. It's just that he's not that player with those spectacular moves.. But he scores just like those guys..

after Lebron and Wade, nobody has put up more points, rebounds, and assists combined.

he is way underrated, but now he just happen to be overpaid too.

Monta Ellis to Chicago for Luol Deng

              Warriors fan here.

GSW are dangling Monta Ellis to the Knicks for PF/C David Lee. Lee is terrific in the offensive end but erratic defensively, plus the Warriors are crowded in the PF department with Randolph, Wright and rookie Ekpe Udoh (same built too). Warriors are thin at the SF with the departure of Corey Maggette to the Bucks. IMO, Warriors should trade for Luol Deng and Joe Alexander for Monta Ellis. Current PG of Warriors is the fast rising Stephen Curry, so that makes Ellis expendable.

              Old Warriors starting lineup 2009-2010:
              PG: Stephen Curry
              SG: Monta Ellis
              SF: Corey Maggette
              PF: Anthony Randolph
              C: Andris Biedrins

              New Warriors starting lineup 2010-2011:
              PG: Stephen Curry
              SG: Reggie Williams
              SF: Luol Deng
              PF: Anthony Randolph
              C: Andris Biedrins

              Off the Bench
              PG: Charlie Bell
              SG: Anthony Morrow/Kelenna Azuibuke
              SF: Joe Alexander/Kelenna Azuibuke
              PF: Brandan Wright/Ekpe Udoh
              C: Ronny Turiaf/Dan Gadzuric

Lineup may change as the franchise is up for sale. If the rumored would be new owner is Larry Ellison CEO of Oracle, then more changes will ensue in the next few months prior to training camp.

Free Agent Shaquille O'neal has been offered a Mid-Level-Exception worth $5.8 Million on a 2 year bond by the Atlanta Hawks. Sources said that O'neal's agent is still negotiating with New Jersey for securing a 3 year deal worth $5 Million annually.

So the knicks now are after Tony Parker or Monta Ellis to run the PG position and either D-Wade or LBJ or Melo or even two of these 3!!!! what a team it would be if things went their way.

That's great but why should the Bulls do this trade?
We don't rid ourselves of Deng's contract, we're merely replacing it with Monta's while downgrading on talent. Not to mention that Ellis is a terrible fit next to Rose because he's a mediocre shooter and needs the ball in his hands to be effective.
In my opinion, the Warriors should've tried getting Salmons, he's better than Maggete and probably would've been cheaper.

Interesting. 5 years, $80,000,000. According to this report, the Bulls still have enough money to overpay somebody with a max contract.
