The trade of Gerald Wallace to the Portland Trailblazers has to be merited as a move by the franchise and with the approval of Michael Jordan for longer sustainability of the franchise's fiscal health as well as flexibility for midterm to long-term operations.

The Bobcats received the expiring contract of Joel Prybilla, a young forward in Dante Cunningham as well as two future first round draft picks. Pryzbilla's contract termination via buyout or expiration after the off-season is a salary cap relief while Cunningham gives the Bobcats another young prospect, perhaps to build on and two draft picks for the future could have the Bobcats land a good player in the near future.
