Carmelo Anthony in a Three-Way Deal
According to multiple sources, the New York Knicks, Minnesota Timberwolves and the Denver Nuggets are discussing a three way trade that will resolve the situation of Carmelo Anthony and his desire to play in New York that hoped to be completed before the NBA trading deadline in February 24, 2011.
The proposed deal would have the Knicks send forward Anthony Randolph and center Eddy Curry to the Timberwolves. In turn, the Timberwolves would send forward Corey Brewer to the Nuggets alongside a First Round Draft Pick. Then the Knicks would send forward Wilson Chandler to the Nuggets.

Carmelo Trade Talks With Nets Fizzles Out
The New Jersey Nets has ended all speculations of a Carmelo Anthony-trade on Wednesday. Mikhail Prokhorov, the Nets Russian owner, has officially announced they will be backing out of a possible Melo trade.
So, what will happen to the Nets? I think they will still be languishing at the bottom of the Atlantic Division with an 11-31 record. It's an excellent management decision for Prokhorov to back out from the trade talks with the Denver Nuggets. Proposals were made so that both teams will get fair deals.
It's a welcome development for Carmelo that the trade was not consummated since the Nets is not a contender for playoffs yet. His possible trade would have been a good investment for the Nets in rebuilding their team.
The door is now open for the New York Knicks to offer possible trade talks with Denver. The Knicks with its 22-19 record in the East (I think) would be a better alternative for Carmelo to strut his wares. A possible Amare-Stoudemire tandem is a great combo to deal with. Melo is a good fit for D'Antoni's run-and-gun style basketball.
So much for the Melo trade talks. Let's us watch more for other developments with NBA trades.
