The Houston Rockets have sent forward Trevor Ariza to the New Orleans Hornets while the Hornets have sent guard Darren Collison and forward James Posey to the Indiana Pacers on which the Pacers sent forward Troy Murphy to the New Jersey Nets and in turn the New Jersey Nets have sent guard Courtney Lee to the Houston Rockets.Last edited by CKR13; 08-11-2010, 11:33 PM.Sacramento Kings

Indiana Pacers
guard and former New Orleans Hornets Darren Collison will be joining the Pacers and more importantly joining his good friend, Pacers guard AJ Price. Both became friends on the Pre-Draft Camp last year.
The acquisition of Collison and veteran forward James Posey have drastically changed the outlook for the Pacers for the upcoming season, as there is a hint of playoff appearance all of a sudden; but has to be remained in doubt but that doesn't mean that we overlook the Pacers.
CKR13's Indiana Pacers starting lineup for 2010-2011:
C Roy Hibbert
This guy is huge and the Pacers are looking to play him more minutes
F Josh McRoberts
Really improved last year and now has the perimeter and outside shooting
F Danny Granger
Their best scorer
G Lance Stephenson
Got game
G Darren Collison
Was brought in to start and is a up and upcoming guard
They have a good bench too:
Jeff Foster
Veteran leader off the bench
Dahntay Jones
Their best defender on the perimeter and is a good utility player
Mike Dunleavy Jr.
The best shooter on the team and have flourished outside the spotlight for so many years.
Tyler Hansbrough
Can provide you some quality moments on the C or PF.
AJ Price
A solid and matured point guard
Pau George
Back-up forward
Brandon Rush
A reserved shooter
I expect TJ Ford to be traded soon.Sacramento Kings

I'm kind of surprised that Houston gave up Trevor Ariza for Courtney Lee. Lee is good, but I think Ariza is better. Plus, now Houston only has Battier/Lee at the SF spot. Well, maybe Houston wants Kevin Martin to play more.
New Orleans did well to pick up Ariza by only giving up Collison.
New Jersey did well to get Murphy, too. Murphy has been under-utilized since he left Golden State.

Their best player is Danny Granger, a legitimate All-Star. And Mike Dunleavy is a potential All-Star, too. I'd like to see them play together. Hibbert is still very young, but he's much less "raw" than he was at Georgetown. He's improved quite a bit (some of those big European guys would do well to look at what Hibbert has done to improve).
Unfortunately, this team is still a long way from being in the play-offs."I really like the attitudes of eagles. They never give up. When they grab a fish or something else, they never let it go. I disagree, Darren Collison is a prolific guard in all as he helped New Orleans cope with Chris Paul's 2 month absence.
He had that 17 points, 18 assists game against the Memphis Grizzlies (Win)
Collison had a 20 assists, 16 points game against Golden State (Win)
Collison had a triple double 18 points, 13 rebounds, and 12 assists. (Win)
Named as Rookie of the Month for the West.
The only bad is his TO's 3.5 topg but he managed to be more efficient with 1.5 topg.
I say very good trade for the Pacers as they have a solid starting PG in Collison as AJ Price is well rounded but excels in no particular category.Sacramento Kings

Ariza had a poor year last year and I believe that was indicative of who he will be- a decent slasher/scorer with an inconsistent jump shot and a poor FG%. he's a good defender but for the money Houston was paying him I don't think it was worth it. He's a third option on a good team and by Houston moving him that should give more shots to Martin and Yao who are both more efficient scorers.

Isiah Thomas have rescinded the offered contract for the Team Consultant for the New York Knicks after further technical deliberation have found that the contract violates an NBA by-law on which Thomas cannot be affiliated and be an active contributor to an NBA Franchise while serving his position as Head Coach of Florida International University, in which the by law aims to avoid the conflict of interests and protect the integrity of NCAA teams and NBA Teams in mutual aspects.Sacramento Kings

Fun fact: Thorn drafted Michael Jordan
Rodney King "Rod" Thorn (born May 23, 1941, in Princeton, West Virginia) is the current president of the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers.
Biography
Thorn attracted nationwide attention after a high school basketball career at Princeton High School that saw him average more than 30 points per game as a senior. He was a three-time all-state selection and was a two-time High School All-American. He was also a highly-regarded high school athlete in baseball.
Thorn attended West Virginia University, where he was an All-American guard in basketball, as well as playing three seasons on the WVU baseball team.
In the 1963 NBA Draft, Thorn was the second player selected overall, drafted by the Baltimore Bullets. He was named to the NBA All-Rookie Team, but was traded by the Bullets following his first season. After brief stints with Detroit and St. Louis, he concluded his career as a player with the Seattle SuperSonics (1967-71).
After retiring, Thorn stayed with the SuperSonics as assistant coach and graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in political science.
In 1973, former teammate Kevin Loughery hired Thorn as assistant coach of the New York Nets of the American Basketball Association. The Nets won the 1974 ABA championship, led by Julius Erving.
Thorn later became head coach of another ABA team, the Spirits of St. Louis in 1975, but after a 20-27 start he was fired in the middle of the season in December 1975 and replaced by Joe Mullaney for the remainder of the season.
In 1978, Thorn became the general manager of the Chicago Bulls and was instrumental in the team's selection of Michael Jordan in the 1984 draft. He also selected track star Carl Lewis much later in the same draft, mostly for publicity purposes; Lewis would never play for the Bulls. Thorn served briefly as interim head coach of the Bulls in 1981-82.
From 1986 to 2000 Thorn was the NBA's Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations.
Thorn rejoined the Nets organization on June 2, 2000, and he was named the NBA Executive of the Year in 2002 after the Nets advanced to the NBA Finals for the first time in franchise history.[1] During the 2010 offseason, Rod Thorn announced he would step down from the Nets' organziation.
On August 11, 2010, Thorn was hired as president of the 76ers, taking over the title from Ed Stefanski, who remained with the team as the general manager.Follow my blogs and tweets. http://dxjayrocksnotes.blogspot.com/ and https://twitter.com/dxjayrock

I, like you, like seeing guys stay in college ball longer. Collison in particular really benefitted from it.

The New York Knicks have signed draft pick and guard Andy Rautins. Terms of the contract signing were undisclosed at this moment.
Also, Indiana Pacers guard TJ Ford have been offered a contract buy-out by the Pacers but Ford declined and preferred to be traded according to an interview.Last edited by CKR13; 08-13-2010, 04:53 AM.Sacramento Kings
