  • What Should Mikhail Prokhorov rename the Nets?

Everyone knows about his 60 Minutes interview, his billions of dollars, and his shady business dealings with thirdworld countries, but Mikhail prokhorov wants to toss all that aside and make a new name for hjmself. That might not be the only name change he had in mind though, as he's already said he's open to change New Jersey's moniker from the Nets to---well, something else. We're here to help, Mr. Prokhorov. Unlike the Bobcats (which Jordan should rename on the spot and preferably to this ) I think the Nets work as a name. It fits the scheme the New York area has for naming the secondary teams. The Nets, Jets, and Mets have to stick together.

No, no, no, no, no. Everybody knows that the Wright Brothers are from Dayton Ohio and that they conceived, designed, built, and even tested most of their first airplanes. North Carolina is just the place where they successfully tested one of their airplanes, so naming the team "Flight" doesn't work for North Carolina.

Wow, I never noticed that. That's kind of cool. Maybe they could call them the "Nyets."
"I really like the attitudes of eagles. They never give up. When they grab a fish or something else, they never let it go. It doesn't matter. In a book, they write they find a skeleton of [an] eagle and there is no fish. It means that the fish beat him and killed him, but he didn't let go." -- Donatas Motiejunas
