This is a thread dedicated to Bobby Hurley.
Though the guy didn't do very well in the NBA, he had an extroadinary 4 years with Duke in the NCAA leading the team to back to back championships, a 1991-92 NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player, a 2 time All American, averages of 12ppg, 8apg ('92-'93: 17ppg 8apg).
My question to everyone is what type of player do you think that he would have turned into if he didn't have that horrendous crash?
If he didn't have that crash, was his style of play suited for the much more athletic NBA?
Was he just in a bad franchise (Sacramento Kings)?
I didn't notice him much in the NBA, but a few years ago I decided to watch some old NCAA Championship games on YouTube. I watched the 1992 NCAA Finals and I was amazed at the abilites, skills and leadership of Bobby Hurley. Sure enough he was coached by probably the greatest NCAA coach in Coach K and had on his team one of the top 10 NCAA Players of All Time in Christian Laettner but Hurley was still "The Floor General!"
