Don't forget another deadline trade was John Salmons to Milwaukee and Hakim Warrick and a young player (can't remember his name) to the Bulls.

Not some bad recruiting by the Bulls.
Warrick will definitely give them some good consistency in the PF role.

Yup i agree but this year? They are still going to a place called the lottery.

They still have a glut of small forwards (Nocioni the odd man out, being overpaid and not really part of the "young" ones)
If there is no basketball in heaven, i am NOT going.

      SMALLBALL, bitches..

Let's not act like they really wanted Warrick's services. i believe both are expiring contracts this year that is their real value. But yeah, he can still contribute this year especially with injuries to Noah and at times, Brad Miller. But he is not part of the Bulls long-term plans at all.

          I agree.
He wouldn't be one of the nucleus that they have in order to attract a free agent to the club.
That falls into the hands of Derrick Rose, Luol Deng, Joakim Noah, Kirk Hinrich and Taj Gibson being the nucleus.
I think the trades the Bulls made are so that they have a bit more to play with to attract free agents to the club.

Thanks for the recap. Now's here's my unsolicited analysis on each deal:
              Thursday, Feb. 18
              • Charlotte acquired Tyrus Thomas from Chicago for a future first-round draft pick, Flip Murray and Acie Law. Acquired Theo Ratliff from San Antonio for a future second-round draft pick.
Win-win for both squads. Chicago gets cap space. Charlotte gets a front court player that could help them for that playoff spot and the postseason.

              • Chicago traded John Salmons and 2011 and 2012 second-round draft picks to Milwaukee for Joe Alexander and Hakim Warrick.
Chicago again the clear winner with the financial move. For Milwaukee, Salmons will replace what they lost in Redd but could be a black hole on offense too so we will see...
              • New York acquired Tracy McGrady from Houston for Jared Jeffries, Jordan Hill, a protected 2012 first-round pick and the right to exchange first-round picks in 2011. Traded Nate Robinson and Marcus Landry to Boston for Eddie House, J.R. Giddens, Bill Walker and a future conditional second-round pick.
New York New York going all in for the 2010 Sweepstakes.
              • Houston received Kevin Martin and Hilton Armstrong from Sacramento for Carl Landry and Joey Dorsey.
The best deadline deal in my opinion. Martin is injury-prone but who isn't excited about their chances when Yao returns: Yao/Scola/Ariza/Martin/Brooks starting five and a bunch of good role players led by Battier and Hayes. Oh my, this GM Dorsey guy is really good.

AS for Sac, they get rid of Martin's contract and let Evans loose in the backcourt. Landry is a pretty good 6th man and they need frontcourt depth anyway,

              • Sacramento received Larry Hughes from New York for Sergio Rodriguez.
A fastbreaking pass first point in Sergio. Could work for NY.

              • Philadelphia acquired Jodie Meeks and Francisco Elson from Milwaukee for Primoz Brezec, Royal Ivey and a 2010 second-round draft pick.
              Hmmm.

              • Utah traded Ronnie Brewer to Memphis for a future first-round draft pick.
Deron Williams is supposedly pissed with this move but Utah has loads of role players on the wings anyway. Obvious salary cut for the Jazz. For the Grizz it's a much need depth for their backcourt.
Washington traded Dominic McGuire to Sacramento for future second-round draft pick and cash.
              Who?

              Wednesday, Feb. 17
              • Cleveland trades Zydrunas Ilgauskas, the rights to Emir Preldzic and 2010 first-round draft pick to Washington for Antawn Jamison.
Cavs version of going all in to convince Lebron. They better win the championship this year else they'll be stuck with Jamison's contract.

              • L.A. Clippers trade Sebastian Telfair to Cleveland.
              • Washington trades Drew Gooden to L.A. Clippers.
              • New York trades Darko Milicic and cash to Minnesota for Brian Cardinal.

              Tuesday, Feb. 16
              • L.A. Clippers trade Marcus Camby to Portland in exchange for Travis Outlaw and Steve Blake.
Good deal for Blazers especially with injuries to their top bigs.

              • L.A. Clippers waive Ricky Davis.
              And hopefully nobody signs him.
              Monday, Feb. 15
              • Chicago re-signed forward Chris Richard to a second 10-day contract.

              Saturday, Feb. 13
              • Dallas trades Caron Butler, Brendan Haywood and DeShawn Stevenson to Washington in exchange for Josh Howard, Drew Gooden, James Singleton and Quinton Ross.
Could be the deal of the deadline if the Dallas can work on their chemistry this second half of the season. And of course make some noise in the playoffs..

All in all, this was an enjoyable trade deadline lots of big names going to relevant places.
If there is no basketball in heaven, i am NOT going.
