  • NBA trade deadline

The NBA trade deadline is in 2 days. A couple of big deals have already been done. Caron Butler, Brendon Haywood and Deshawn Stevenson have been traded from the Wizards to the Mavs and should play tonight. Marcus Camby was just dealt to Portland from the Clippers.
A couple of big rumours out there include Amare Stoudemire going to the Cavs in exchange for Zydrunas Ilsgauskus and J.J. Hickson; as well as T-Mac being traded from Houston to NY for Larry Hughes, Jordon Hill and Jarred Jeffries.

Who else will get moved as we approach Thursday's trade deadline?

I think the Bulls will trade T.Thomas before the deadline.

      Other rumors:

      Hinrich to LAL
      Iguodala/Dalembert to Suns for Amare
      Jamison to Cavs

Ugh, lots of other rumors actually that i think we'd have 2 minor deals at the deadline. Oh well, this is the NBA Trade Deadline always not up to the hype.

More sources are confirming this. Nate also did not play in NY's last game i believe. If this pushes through at least Boston improve their back-up PG position.

For NY, they want a pick back (late first rounder) to get value from Nate, because they don't want any players back right now and all they want are expiring contracts.

It's looking like the Cavs are going to trade Big Z for somebody. That's disappointing to me. I understand that Big Z's new team will "buy out" his contract (which has always seemed weird to me when that happens), and Big Z will resign with the Cavs. I still don't like it.

I read on the HoopsHype.Com rumors page that San Antonio wants to deal Antonio McDyess away, possibly to Chicago. Unfortunately, McDyess' career is finishing, so he's just not very valuable to anybody.

In a book, they write they find a skeleton of [an] eagle and there is no fish. It means that the fish beat him and killed him, but he didn't let go." -- Donatas Motiejunas

I agree mvblair, I don't like this at all. I mean they will sign him back if they trade him. But actually I don't think they need to make any deals anyway. The Cleveland Cavaliers are fine right now as the best basketball team in the world . JJ Hickson is blossoming & the chemistry is there. Even Lebron said last week that he never said they needed a stretch four. If they end up trading Big Z for someone like Troy Murphy I'm not going to be happy. But I guess Z is one of the only guys who is 'touchable' & appealing to other teams at the same time.

Props to Big Z for being the consummate professional in the midst of all these trade rumors the last couple years. He better be rewarded with this championship run they are about to go on.

Salmons apparently was told by the Chicago to STAY in the hotel before their game against the Knicks (2nd game of home-and-home today)... Hmmm, no news on which team will he be traded to but SAS and ORL are mentioned...

Gahd no. i hate that guy, i hope he doesn't end up with the Magic.

T-Mac has been traded to the Kings, Kevin Martin goes to Houston. All part of a 7 player deal. Chances are Kings will trade McGrady to Knicks.

                          3 Team deal.

Houston: Kevin martin, Jordan Hill, Jared Jeffries.

New York: Tracy Mcgrady, Sergio Rodriquez

Sacramento: Larry Hughs, Joey Dorsey, and my favorite Carl Landry.

                          Also,

Bulls trade Tyrus Thomas for Bobcats Flip Murray and Acie Law.

I like the trade of Sacramento in acquiring Carl Landry. They have another solid addition to a stellar cast of young talents along with some prudent veterans. I'm glad they didn't trade Brockman though.

Now that Martins gone, Tyreke Evans is basically his team now.

And paired with Carl Landry, Kings are going places.
