  • Mid-Season's NBA Most Improved Player

There's a couple of surprise packages this far to the midway point. Some of them are international players such as Australia's representative (Croatian Heritage) Andrew Bogut, Toronto's "Italian Stalion" Andrea Bargniani or Spain's big man Marc Gasol who is coming into his own.

Who do you think is the Mid-Season's NBA Most Improved Player?

To put a case for my compatriot: Andrew Bogut, the guy is giving his usual double double but this time he has increased his defense with his shotblocking and has anchored the Bucks defense. He has led the team in scoring multiple times and has enhanced his offensive arsenal. But besides the immense team's improvement and proving the critics wrong, the Bucks are sitting just below the Bulls for the final spot for the playoffs. Many thought this team would only win 15 to 20 games but because of Bogut's immense improvement, the Bucks are possibly on their way to returning to the playoffs since the 2005-2006 season. GO BUCKS! GO BOGUT!

I'm running with the Rockets, so I voted for someone else named Carl Landry.

Carl Landry or Joe Crawford...the others's chances are very slim.

This is a difficult question, but Marc Gasol and Carl Landry are two really good choices. I watched Landry in college & did not think he would be nearly as effective on the NBA level as he is. He's undersized, but has a lot of heart. And Like Landry, Gasol actually displayed some flashes last season, but this year he is putting together more consistent performances. I enjoy watching Memphis because Gasol & point guard Mike Conley Jr. (another guy who is VERY much improved) run the pick & roll to almost perfection. Actually I think Conley should be on this list instead of Brooks because Aaron was showing big time flashes in last season's playoffs. Conley went from being in numerous trade talks to becoming a solid NBA point guard.

            Zach Randolph

David Lee in my opinion should not be on that list...he's been the best player on the Knickerbockers for the past few years and has mande an all-star appearence recently.
