Bold Prediction thread

A thread for us to get our semi and outlandish theories and predictions off our chests regarding the future of international basketball. Could be near future could be far future, what are things that you predict will happen.

I'll kick us off.

I believe by 2020 at the latest Australia and or China will have either an Olympic or World Championship medal. Making one the first non americas, non european medal winner since 1954, and the only one besides the Philippines.

There is still huge gap between China and the world's first-rate teams.And 10 years in my personnal opinion is far from enough.
But I do believe in 20 or 30 years China will have the ability to challenge for a medal in WBC or Olympics

What should happen is that countries should not be able to have people from other countries playing for them. This will make Australia extinct as they do not have any convicts playing for them so there is no chance of a gold medal in the future.

Australia just has players from good basketball countries like croatia and serbia playing for them teaching them how to play this game..
