A lot of people call them most talented USA team of all time. From what I have seen, without Steph Curry they would be fighting for bronze medal today. What bothers me is that this team really lacks class. I can't imagine Kobe Bryant flexing after every basket or making lame gestures or crying about every single call. Lebron, KD, Kobe, and Curry are the reason why the USA dominated since 2008.
Without three of the above four, team USA would not win the gold this year.
USA simply had a golden generation. The world sees it as USA basketball simply dominating. But it’s likely that without the above four, USA would have lost 2008 and 2012 to Spain. 2021 to France. And 2024 to Serbia and France.
Top European teams like Serbia, Germany and France can compete against team USA. Without the three players, team USA would be another Canada.
Consider that team USA naturalized Embid to compete against players like Jokic. The Americans would probably would not have made it without him.
This is one of the best USA teams ever. And yes, they could have easily lost a game.
