if only head to head Greece is in good situation to make 1/4 (unless tommorow serbia will lose by some miracle to Sudan)


If understand correctly Spain must win vs Canada or they are going home. If Spain wins Australia going home

For Greece NT Serbia vs Sudan game is more important.After this win i dont see how Greece is ending in 4th spot in this group

Yes I think Greece is sure to finish 3rd, now they just have to wait for the result of Serbia-South Sudan.

Canada doesn't have many stakes in our game, by the way. Win or lose, they will face the loser of France/Germany or the winner of Serbia/South Sudan in QFs. It's a coin toss and the result of the match against Spain doesn't really matter. The only potential scenario is if France beats Germany and Canada beats Spain by a bigger margin. A very unlikely chance also is Canada beating Spain by 16 points plus the difference between Germany and France. In those two cases Canada would slip into the first pot and avoid USA until the final game. But it's long odds.

Maybe the difference in motivation plays a role in favour of Spain. Or it can be the other way round and the Spaniards fold under the pressure and it's an easy game for Canada. Who knows?

No this does not apply anymore as Greece won with more points than 3. If Canada beats Spain by a single point, then Canada’s results are not to be taken in consideration. It’s a three way tie.

all scores vs Canada should be erased and +- counted only from head to head games of 3 teams

Spain have -12 and +7 = -5
Australia have +12 and -6 = +6
Greece have -7 and +6 = -1

In such case Spain is out if they lose even by 1pts


If regulation says count also canada pts diffrence even then Spain can lose only by 2pts or 3pts either way.

I mean all of them even Shai and Murray they really put effort in defence. Not just Dort or Brooks or Alexander

Even in Usa i can find players like Curry or Haliburton or Embiid who dont put big effort in defence
