Calathes couldnt make any shot he normally makes when he is blind. I have respect for Walkup and his defense but this team needed Dorsey more.

Wow. I didn't expect the Greeks to be so timid. At times it looked like nobody wanted to take the shot. Spain focused all their defensive effort on stopping Giannis, and to his credit, they couldn't do much more than limiting him. But nobody else on the Greek team stepped up and took advantage of the attention Giannis attracted. Spain didn't have that many weapons offensively other than Aldama and the three-point shot, but was enough.

Spanoulis was great player but lineups with Calathes, Walkup, Giannis and Papa are just totally off. Modern basketball is about spacing and shooting and it's difficult to find worse spacing and shooting than those lineups. And Spain didn't even leave Calathes open, which would have brought even bigger problems for Greece.

Giannis/Calathes/Papagiannis/Walkup have played 115 minutes and nobody can't shoot, that's the game. Giannis is playing in the wrong era of Greece basketball.

Well, NTs are not clubs. It's not like you can go out there and sign shooters if you need them. I'm not sure if Spanoulis could have called someone else better suited to profit from Giannis gravity.

It just occurred to me that if Giannis could play with Italy, that would be a powerhouse.
