It's not the issue of career backups. It's an issue that Australia is a team full of flaws which teams just didn't exploit and Aussies were shit hot shooting over defense vs most of the teams. When you have that situation and you match it with a good defensive plan and lots of hustle and energy from opponent, you get this. The issue is this Aussie team never had plan B nor needed it in this tournament. Plan A always worked. This is where coaching and knowledge of the game by players comes into foreground.
